“Quality with a flair”

A varied menu that has some creative thought and integrity -- have always been pleasantly surprised by my dining experiences. As with the hotel, this is place where they exceed expectations. If you're in Golden, this is a go-to place. Fabulous creekside patio!

“Great place for buffalo burgers”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This place serves the best buffalo burgers I have ever eaten, and I have been trying different places for years. The ambiance is great in the summer when you can sit outside by the river but it is so warm and cozy when they have all the Christmas decor up and the snow is falling outside in the winter. Ask for a table by the windows!!!

“Excellent food and view”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Inside The Golden Hotel which by itself is a beautiful hotel, the food is very good. We found the selection to be lacking in other than a spicy taste bud but the crab cake was an excellent appetizer, I had the open-face roast beef and not an ounce of fat. Delicious. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and it was happy hour so two wines and two beers topped off a great meal after visiting lookout mountain "Lariat Loop". You do not want to miss that view from the top!!!!

“Burgers from on High”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Hit the Bridgewater Grill for a late Friday afternoon lunch. Got a little lost in the hotel lobby and saw the banquet room being dolled up for a wedding. After some redirection, headed toward the back of the hotel--the part closest to the bridge and the water--and was in for a pleasant surprise. Given the choice of indoor or outdoor seating and chose to sit outside to enjoy the clouds, the river, the bridge, the pedestrian riverwalk, and watch some pictures of the wedding party being shot.

Menu seemed to be standard fare with an emphasis on burgers and sandwiches. Went with the Steakhouse Stuffed burger cooked medium well: awesome choice! The burger was served open faced to slather on whatever condiments and toppings I chose. The patty looked pregnant; it was stuffed with crispy bacon, aioli sauce, tangy melted bleu cheese, and it was seared with cracked pepper. It was by far the best burger I've had in a long time. The flavors danced in my mouth like a meat flash mob scene.

I also had a nibble of the Southwestern burger, careful not to eat any avocado, but tasting the pleasing fire of the jalapenos. Honestly, it was a really good burger, but mine was better!

Oh and there were some fries on the plate, nothing special. But after that burger, any fries, even magical potato fries, would have been a plain traveling companion on the way to my gut.

“Excellent lunch”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Stopped in for lunch on 10/12/12.
Excellent, attentive service and they kept the coffee flowing.
I ate outside on their patio and had a pleasant view of the creek.
One of the best burgers I've had in a long time, absolutely delicious!

Probably the best place I ate at on my visit to Colorado.
