A must visit for the faithful. Water is a precious commodity in this arid place, but Mother Cabrini found both water and Gods blessings right here. Every step up the shrine is inspirational.

After our visit to buffalo bill's site first made our way to mother cabrinis shrine. Trip up a road and past retreat house until you get to chapel and steps up to her statue. We were able to go into gift shop and the have our items blessed by a priest there.

I was disappointed that we did not get up early enough for mass and they only have one on Saturday early. Spent some time in the chapel.

Did not attempt the steps to,statue but there was a group making their way up.

Mother Cabrini on her last visit there pointed to the ground and said to,dig there to find water and they did. Are said to have healing powers such as in Lourdes, both my husband and I drank the water and also filled up bottles to take home for holy water.

We lite a lot of candles and said many prayers there. So,glad we made it there.

It was a long climb to the grotto but it was worth the effort because the view was great. We met some friendly tourists as we climbed the steps (373 steps). The view up there was gorgeous especially on a clear and bright afternoon.

After we got out of the chapel, we saw three deer feeding themselves by the fence.

We enjoyed the visit.

This was not on our list but heading towards Evergreen from Denver, we saw the sign on I-70 and decided to follow it. We were so glad we did. What a view from this site. The site itself is not all commercialized. It has a small gift shop but it is very serene to just walk around and read about Mother Cabrini's life and works.
