My kids loved it, I kind of did too! It has quite a few hands on trains and some very cool model train scenes.

“Off the beaten track”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

We have always meant to visit the railroad museum and our chance came when we had lots of nieces and nephews visit at once. Kids from teens to toddlers found something to hold their interest, and we all learned a lot about Colorado's railroad history.

“Ultimate Boy Toys”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

I love old trains and this place has plenty of them. From the HO model railroad in the basement to the giant locomotives in the yard, everything is well displayed and in excellent condition. However, be aware that on a cold winters day all that iron gives off about as much heat as a freezer and the rails and ties can be really slick. On the other hand not all that many people go on a cold day so you'll be able to walk at your leisure. I recommend a hat that covers your ears and gloves. Nod back to the exhibits. A little of everything. The turn table is fascinating and the galloping geese are unique. If you're over 60, you'll love it. If you love trains, you'll love it. If you hate to be cold...GO IN THE SUMMER!!! SENIOR DISCOUNT

“Family Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2012

This is interesting to see even if you're not a train nut. We went because our boys love trains, we live by a track. The grounds are beautiful and there's quite a few interesting trains to see. The turn table is quite amazing too. We had our three year old pushing it around!

“A Train Lovers Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

This is a place where every train lover needs to visit. They have a working roundhouse, A BIG BOY, a great garden train set up outside and inside SO much to see and learn about. Thomas the Tank even visits seasonally. Take the kids they will get to go in a caboose and see almost every type of train made. It is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or morning with your family!
