“Good samples”

Give yourself extra time for initial waiting for bus. Could be long line. However, tour is interesting, and sample room is very nice, allowing for relaxing and socializing.

“Nice Brewery Tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

This is a nice brewery to tour. Everything is free. The staff is knowledgable and can answer all your questions. Many of the guest came only for the free beer, which is a plus because you came simply try a different beer instead of purchasing it. Vending machines in the beer sampling room. Very clean.

“Fun and interesting tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

It is hard not to like this fun, free tour in Golden, Colorado. The tour bus picks you up in an easy to find parking lot. We were there early in the day, but there was plenty of parking. The driver gives you a quick tour through town, then leaves you at the Coors Brewery to start the self-guided tour. It is not long, but I learned quite a bit about making beer and the brewery is impressive. At the end of the tour there are plenty of samples--each person can have 3 1/2 full size beers! My husband loved the Batch 19 and the Colorado Native. You can only get these in Colorado. I liked the Coors Banquet and the Blue Moon. Last stop is the Coors Shop--with everything you can imagine with Coors and their other beer logos on it. The town of Golden has lots of restaurants and the Colorado School of Mining.

“Free Fun!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

Golden is a charming city in which the Coors Brewery is located. It is very easy to find the parking lot where the tour begins. Parking is FREE. The shuttle to the brewery is FREE. The tour is FREE, and three beers are FREE.
The shuttle driver was funny and helpful. He told a few corny jokes and took us on a quick tour of Golden (not a lot to see) before dropping us off at the entrance to the brewery. Once in the brewery, show your ID and get a self-guided tour recorder. As you walk through the brewery, the recorder provides you with ample information about the brewing process as well as the Coors company. There are also several "real" tour guides located throughout the tour to answer any questions that you might have. At the halfway point, you are given a taste of Coors or Coors Light. Not to worry, that is not the tasting room!
The tasting room is at the end of the tour. You are able to get three 8oz beers at that point. Be careful. If you are not used to the altitude, three beers may be too many! Bring cash for Beer Nuts in the vending machine. They also take your picture when you first start the tour. You may purchase the photo in the tasting room. A fully stocked gift shop is next to the tasting room. Well worth the trip!

“Tastefully Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

We were given a quick 10 ish minute tour on a bus around Golden before they dropped us off at the Coors Brewery entrance (all FREE). Self-guided tour around the brewery, pretty busy on a Friday at 4 pm, as college students are there getting their three free beers, but a wonderful atmosphere. Very knowledgable staff, interesting brewery.
