Buffalo Bill's grave site is really ruined by the overcommerciwlization of the site. Even sadder, the view of Denver and the plains that Bill so fondly appreciated has been ruined by a number of transmitting towers. However, the museum is excellent, even if the state charges an entrance fee.

If you are interested in his life and times then you should stop into this museum. Good presentation of his life, especially his road show and its participants.

Interesting location, tucked away more than we expected. There's a little cafe and store close by that you can visit, too.

We were in Denver for a wedding for a few days, so we had some time to sightsee. We just got in the rental car and started to drive, with no particular destination in mind. We passed a brown road sign that said "Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum", so we went! You drive up a mountain, and at the top, the views are stunning. You can see all of Denver, Golden, and Evergreen, and it is so beautiful. For a $10 admission fee, you get to tour the whole museum, self-guided. It takes about 2 hours to see it all. They have really neat Wild West artifacts, clothing, tee-pees, a gun collection, neat photo ops, and much more. Then, you walk up a path to his his actual grave, which is very cool. The gift shop was the best in all of Denver, with a huge selection. There is a restaurnat there too, but we didn't try it. In all, it was such a great find, with lots of fun memories.

This museum is well done and interesting and offers a thorough overview of Buffalo Bill's life. He is also buried here. The site has the added advantage of spectacular views of Denver over 2000 feet below and beautiful views of the front range mountains to the west. There is also a fun gift shop and cafe where you can get home-made fudge and buffalo burgers or buffalo chili as well as other snacks.
