We chose this hotel on the basis of travelers' reviews. The price was moderate, the hotel was OK but the room could have used a coat of paint. The setback was the breakfast room. Not only did nobody clean the tables or pick-up the newspapers, but worse, the food area was far from neat. And a glimpse into the kitchen was not encouraging. WiFi quality was variable, most of the time low.

On our 2008 spring break driving-trip from San Francisco to Frisco, CO and back, this was the nicest hotel we stayed in. It was late and we had to stop driving. We walked in and they had a room available. We had two king beds and a sofa with a AAA rate. Perfect for parents with two teenagers. I didn't realize how many animals were staying in the hotel until morning. It was quiet. No problem with fleas. The room was clean. The view was incredible. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites from February 16-18, 2008. We have stayed at this hotel more than six times, the last time almost two years ago.

This was the best stay we've had at this hotel. Since we last stayed here (spring 2005) they have installed new carpet in the halls and rooms and new wallpaper in the halls. The bathroom had a curvy shower-curtain rod, which gives you a little more elbow room in the shower.

We had a flat-screen TV in our room (the next door room, where our friends stayed had a regular TV). The rooms have VCRs, and you can rent videos from the front desk. The only problem was there is no VCR remote, so we had no way of turning off the displayed counter on the screen while the video played. This did not deter my daughter from watching "Teenage Drama Queen," though. :-)

Nowhere did I smell cigarette smoke this trip (we had a problem with this a couple of years ago--our "nonsmoking room" smelled like cigarettes and we had to change rooms).

They took out the guest room by the breakfast area to make more seating...GREAT IDEA! The lobby is not nearly as noisy, now, at breakfast. They still have the fabulous make-your-own waffle machines, but it's still a very carb-centered breakfast bar: bagels, prepackaged danish, cereal. They had some sad-looking oranges and red delicious apples (who eats these?). They need bananas!

The pool and hot tub stay open until 11pm. Yes, you go to Glenwood for the Hot Springs, but this hotel's pool is fine for a quick swim for the kids.

Pets are allowed, and thank god we did not hear barking dogs (a problem once before, but its owners were also screaming at each other in the middle of the night...this is when I learned that if you have a problem like this with other hotel guests, cut to the chase and call the police instead of the front desk).

We will be back at the Quality Inn & Suites this summer for sure!

Very nice front desk people and quick check in. Very above average bedding and mattress. Really comfortable. Our room had a great view of the river and geese flying by heading up stream. Others have expressed problems with train noise but it was not an issue for us and we're very noise sensitive. We both slept soundly. The room was nice, newly furnished, and well insulated from hall noise. We'd stay here again.

I can't say enough good about this hotel and the staff. My family had reservations at another hotel in Gleenwood Springs. We were very disappointed when we saw our accomodations. We immediately picked up the phone and began calling other hotels we located on our GPS. They were all booked but one of the girls who answered the phone at one of the hotels we called said she had just stayed in a new hotel in Gleenwood Springs and it was very nice. We then called the hotel she recommended - Glenwood Suites - we were very well taken care of. The manager Paul Knapp made sure we had a room and it exceeded our expectations! Our room was new and immaculate. The hotel has underground parking so our car was warm each morning. Breakfast was included with our stay and evening drinks and snacks were also a nice treat. We travel often and have never felt more at home than we did at Gleenwood Suites. We noticed Christian music playing softly each time we went to the front desk. We can not speak highly enough of the general manager Paul Knapp and the service and kindness he provided us.

If you want the highest quality of accomodations in Glenwood Srpings, Colorado, this is the place for you!

We were very impressed with the employees, who made us feel as if we were in our home away from home. They were friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable in the area and surroundings.

We were so pleased that we stayed two nights: one on our way to Moab, Utah and another on our return trip home.

You won't be disappointed staying here!

Very nice clean place to stay! We had the king business suite with wet bar, fridge and microwave. Very large room that over looked the river. Very peaceful! There are trains that run every once in a while on the other side of the river, but we didn't fine it noisy or disturbing at all. They offer a full free breakfast until 10 am every morning. We will be staying there again!
