What A Dump! Water leaking in the hallways and in the guestrooms. Waste baskets setting in the halls, on the stairs to collect rain water leaking through the ceiling. Carpet is buckling all over the place and is dangerous. Complaints were met with indifference by staff. Will never come back!

We had a nice size room with a very comfortable bed, and we liked the convenience of the in-room refrigerator. Even though we did request, and receive a smoking room...it smelled so strong of smoke, we could hardly stand it, (and we’re smokers). We had to go to the local Mall and buy some room fresheners. The hotel is very dated, and badly in need of a 'face lift'. Also, there is very limited viewing on the t.v. (No in-room movies, etc.). The gentleman who checked us in was not at all friendly, check out was friendly, but VERY slow. Besides the size of the pool, (slightly larger than a minivan) we decided not to use it, as it looked really dirty.

The Ramada is right in the heart of Glenwood Springs a block from the hot springs. Everything is within easy walking distance. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of good eating there and nearby. I bought a hiking trail map and enjoyed walking in the hills surrounding Glenwood.

Glenwood Springs is a great town and Ramada, in my opinion, is your best bet. I read some of the negative comments and they were certainly not indicative of my experience. Really nice people, really big rooms, great location, and good price. To me, that's a good hotel.

My wife and I spent the weekend at Ramada Inn & Suites May 21 and 22 in one of their standard Queen/Queen NS rooms.

As a frequent visitor to the Roaring fork Valley on business and pleasure including Aspen and Snowmass Village, we were plentantly surprised with the hotel. I admit, it isn't as fancy as some of the properties we have stayed at in Aspen, but given the price we paid ($75.00 Manager Special) it was a good value. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the breakfast buffet in the morning was great for $7.95 per person and the staff were very courteous and friendly. If you want 5-Star service and amenities, stay at the Little Nell in Aspen for between $400 and $2,000 per night. If you want value, stay at Ramada. It was also great in that it was only two blocks to the Hot Springs Pool and Glenwood Caverns. Plenty of parking, right off I-70 and a good place to base. We spend most of our days in Aspen, but were glad to leave the "unreal" world of Aspen and come back to our home away from home in Glenwood Springs. From now on, even though we had to drive about 45 minutes to get to Aspen, it was worth it. Then, at the end of the day, we return to Glenwood and take a long, soothing time at the Hot Springs. We would recommend it to anyone (short of Don Johnson, Maria Carey or Wil Smith). It's especially nice for families with children.

Very disappointed overall. The lobby looks pretty good as you walk in, however once we got in our room we found a broken toilet, dirty shower and the pool was absolutely disgusting! There is no way we would let our disappointed kids get in that pool (hair and bugs on the ground).
Instead of fixing our toilet they made us switch rooms then fixed the toilet and made us switch back. Overall a dumpy place we would NEVER stay again. P.S. the restaurant next door called Tequilas is awesome - that's the only thing the Ramada has going for it.

We stayed there on the eve of Christmas 2003 with our dog. The lady who checked us in, gave us a room on the 2nd floor knowing we had a dog. We had to insist she give us a room near an exit (it wasn's as if the hotel was packed!). I found the staff a bit too stiff and extremely formal. It was Christmas, for heavens sake, relax, I wanted to shout.

The room was okay. Having a fridge in the room was very convenient for travellers like us. The pool was a shame. It seemed that it has not been maintained for a while.

To end, we won't be staying there again.

Thank Algood
