The Lodge stay, particularly the 3 for 2 night off-peak deal, is great when you consider the included pool access and full breakfast. The lodge is a very nice accommodation and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The town has a good variety of dining choices, quality and price range. The only slightly disappointing part of our stay was the quality of the coffee in the Lodge lobby and at the Grill (as small thing, I guess).

Room Tip: We felt that paying a bit extra for a pool-side room (not below ground-level) was worth it for the views. In the off-peak season (Sept.) noise was not an issue.

For people planng a visit to the Glenwood Springs pool, we highly recommend staying at Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge, the only lodging that includes these ammenities: the pool is conveniently located just a short walk across the street, as is the expanded menu breakfast grill, both of which are included in the price of a stay. Our room was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to go back to.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, the beds slept well and parking was close. The deal comes in due to the proximity of the Hot Springs themselves, right across the street. Every morning before you get up, they slide an envelope under your door with two coupons - one for breakfast in "The Grill" (Worth $9) and one for the Hot Springs Pool (worth $14) - for each person in the room. So for two people, the room is less than $100 (Our room was $139). I had a mineral spring bath followed by a 50 minute massage - probably the best I'd ever had. I am male and it was the first time I had a massage by a masseur, so I was a little hesitant, but he was excellent. Ask for Jeff.

The Lodge was a total suprise, REALLY beautiful rooms - fully updated and renovated, high end furniture and huge Flat Screen TV. I had just stayed at the Venetian in Las Vegas and the room was smaller but comparable in style and appearance. BIG unexpected plus. Also - with the price of pool passes being 17.00 per day for an adult - for 3 of us we figured it was 104.00 worth of passes for two days (which came FREE with the room) and a 50.00 breakfast at the grill (which was good and came FREE with the room)....that brought the 231.00 price of the room really down to around 100.00 which was a HUGE value. Overall the pool was wonderful and relaxing, food at the grill was nice and room was great. Super great little get away. Add the price of gas up from Denver and a Lunch and Dinner the day you get there and lunch the following day and you have a perfect all inclusive one night getaway to the Mountains!!

Room Tip: Be sure if you get there earlier that 4pm you have something to do - or plan to go around the town or something as we waited around a long time to get checked in coming in around 1:30 or 2pm from Denver. It took a while to get into our room which was about the only real detraction from the hotel. Everything else there was perfect.

From reservations to check-out, this could not have been a more perfect few days. The rooms were nicely decorated, unusual and very pleasing bath amenity products, comfortable bed and furniture. Shower was wimpy, however. We used the Spa for massages--clean and upscale facility, excellent staff from the greeter to the therapist---loved the steam room. And the pools were more than I remembered from a long-ago visit. The water was therapeutic and the areas well tended. Poolside breakfast was included as part of the room price and was outstanding---a wide selection of hot and cold items, quickly prepared to order. We would have spent more time if it had fit into our schedule. Unfortunately our time there coincided with one of their pool-cleaning days, which was noted in all of their literature. I would be hard-pressed to find a better experience anywhere.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor with a balcony which looked out at the pool across the street with parts of the town beyond. The reservationist helped me decide that this would be a good room for us once I told her my preferences. She was very patient and helpful.
