This is a great hotel to stay at. We had a beautiful room, swim passes for both days we were there, and breakfast! What a deal.

We arrive at 1 pm with a car right behind us. Because it takes a minute or two for us to get off the bikes, take off the helmets and gloves and all, they are ahead of us at check in. They get their room and move on while we are told that check in is not till 4 pm. I suggest that they might call housekeeping to check and they repeat the policy, “the rooms are not available till 4 pm.” They suggest that we go across the street to the pool area for the afternoon and I ask about where we can change out of our riding gear. They have no place or space so we open our luggage in their fancy lobby, sort through the bags to find the swimsuits, shirts to wear, shoes in lieu of riding boots, and in the process I seriously consider stripping in their lobby with the belief that our room might be ready faster, but it is not and so neither do I. We change in a downstairs restroom. Again I ask if it would be possible to find another room that might be ready and again am told, "the check in time is 4 pm, come back then."
My suggestion would be to stay next door at the Hotel Colorado. They have on site dining and a much better front desk. (From the travel journels Crossing America on Motorcycles 2012.)

Room Tip: Stay next door at the Hotel Colorado.

We plan our vacations to go Glenwood Springs and to visit the hot springs pool and lodge. The new renovations to the Lodge are amazing. Our room was so beautiful, the furnishings elegant. The refrigerator and the microwave were excellent additions. We spend all our time at the pool. It is clean at the pool and in the dressing rooms. The staff gives over 110 % to their work. I am disabled, and the lodge and pool are both very easy to access. I always recommend the Hot Springs Lodge to friends and family. The fact that the rooms are amazing and that the pool admission and full breakfast (continental breakfast as well as the hot food items) are included in the price of the room, make it very affordable for families as well as those on a budget. You won't be disappointed if you make the Hot Springs Lodge and Pool your vacation destination.

Room Tip: We stayed in a standard deluxe room. It faced the pool and had a wonderful little patio balcony to...

Rooms are all refurnished and upgraded with comfortable bedding and 42 inch flat screen TV's. We spent two nights and The two queen bed room was large enough to sleep four adults. The free wireless Internet was an unexpected treat. Your reservation includes unlimited pool use on the day you arrive and leave. It also includes a free full breakfast for everyone each day, poolside. The only downside was the towels they give you at the pool. They are small, thin and rough. Bring your own.

Room Tip: Book early as they fill up quickly. South side rooms don't have balconies.

My wife and I planned this escape weekend for the primary purpose of escaping the day to day work stress and looked specifically at a location close to the Hot Spring pools. The Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge definitely met our every expectation. The guest services staff at the desk were incredibly friendly, approachable and extremely helpful.

We spent two evenings in the Jacuzzi spa suite, covering our bases in the event of less than opportune weather. The weather however was perfect and so was the suite, luxurious and overlooking the pool. We moved to a smaller room on our last evening, and that room too was incredibly comfortable. thou it was tougher getting back into the queen size bed when we'd had the larger king for the previous two evenings.

The pool and breakfast passes made this the best deal around. We visited the pools each day and breakfast too. The cost savings there alone was blessing to us.

If I had only one complaint for the entire weekend, it was the rush at the breakfast grill. The food was good but could the process could have been better explained. Large crowds in the small grill area with limited seating became a bit overwhelming and the please wait to be seated sign... Did not see anyone there the three times we were there, confusing for more than just us.

Overall, we both loved it and will definitely be back!
