Hotel Denver is charming, each room different. We had a huge room w/2 Queen beds (very comfortable). Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed sitting in one of the private alcoves off the lobby as well as the library. Conveniently located across from Amtrak station and MANY restaurants and shops. Never had to get in our car until we left. Will definitely return!

Room Tip: If you have a pet, choose a room at the end of the hall. Less hallway noise to cause a dog to bark...

We'd stayed here a few years ago and had an inconveniently located smaller room. This trip we had a well located large room. Our stay was during labor Day weekend. Front desk staff folks were fantastic, friendly and helpful. It's only a short walk from the Hot Springs Pool, though we find that we spend more time doing other things when we stay on this side of the river...which isn't a bad thing. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Denver to anyone visiting Glenwood Springs and plan on staying there again next trip.

The Hotel Denver is an updated older hotel. Our room overlooking the river and train station was large and very clean. The staff was VERY helpful with everything we asked. Free parking and towels for the pool were nice. Would certainly stay there again.

We stayed at the Hotel Denver over the Labor Day weekend for one night and it was perfect! The hot springs were about a 5-8 minute walk with our kids in tow over a bridge. It was very convenient and the hotel was quiet. There are trains that go by throughout the day and night, but the noise didn't seem to bother us. I honestly think you'd hear the trains at most hotels in this city anyway! Since we got up to Glenwood Springs early Sunday morning before our room was ready, they gave us our pool passes (We got the pool package that included 2 adult tickets so we bought 2 kids tickets at a discounted rate from our hotel. It saved us a ton of time as we didn't have to wait in line when we got to the pool!). They also gave us 4 bottles of water and 4 big, comfy towels to use at the pool free of charge. (They had it all in a bag ready for us to bring to the pool!) The front desk person (Roxie) was so kind, happy and helpful - the best customer service experience we've ever gotten! She even called us at the pool when our room was ready! The rooms were unique, clean and spacious. The gift shops/boutiques are cute and the historic features of the hotel were really cool! We ate breakfast at the Daily Bread and that was awesome too! It was a short 3 minute walk to the Daily Bread restaurant. Best stuffed french toast I've ever had! The restaurant at the Hotel Denver called the Brewpub had excellent food for kids and adults. Us adults enjoyed the Naughty Rootbeer! The cheddar soup bread bowl was very good as well. I would definitely stay here again. Even though you have a short walk at this hotel to get to the hot springs, it was nice to get away from the crowds at the hotel with the hot springs pool. We also walked to the Gondola and tried out the alpine coaster. That was fun too! Lots to do in this town!

Room Tip: We were in a room on the river side...all the rooms are different, so it's best to call and ask...

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased. We originally were going after labor day weekend but needed to re-schedule for labor day weekend, our room was originally $99 per night but the labor day rate was $129 for the same rate, but the hotel gave us they $99 anyway which was very nice. The room was an interior queen which has a window overlooking the top of the restaurant next to it which wasn't all that great but we knew this going into it. We were warned that there will be noise from the restaurant below our room but we did not hear any- only people in the hallway and loud noises from rooms around us and the air conditioning. So the door is very thin and everytime someone walks by you can haer them very clearly. The room itself is a very, very small room with a modern bathroom and pretty old wood floors, with a nice wall mounted TV. The staff/front desk was one of the best I have seen at a hotel. They offered a $5 voucher to the Brewpub next door for not having our room cleaned which we gladly took, then we came down a few times to ask for towels/soap. They provide water bottles/apples and a coffee bar in the morning as well which is very nice. We also bought the package with a Hot springs pool pass for a day and the hotel gives you a bag with towels to take to the pool for free as long as you return by 11 PM. The location is a 5 minute bridge walk from the pool and there are about 10 restaurants within a block of the hotel! All in all this is a great hotel, you can tell it is quite old but they have upgraded many things and the staff makes up for the rest!
