Sunlight Lodge Bed & Breakfast

We've been visiting the Sunlight Mountain Inn annually for over 12 years. We absolutely love it! It's home away from home for us. The Inn is family friendly and economically friendly. Plus, the breakfasts are amazing!! Each year we have brought friends and family with us. Now, they too visit every year. It's become our tradition with our family and friends to meet at the Inn and vacation together. Such a wonderful Inn and delightful Inn keeper. We look forward to February 2011.

We have been returning to this Inn for 5 years now..We have found the inn to be very charming, in a beautiful setting and very convenient to the Ski facility. Gretchen and Pierre are wonderful hosts and we most enjoy the fresh baked cookies upon our arrival! The breakfast is fantastic with lots to choose from. I would totally recommend this B&B to anyone and everyone. My only small complaint is some of the beds do need to be replaced due to springs being very prominent.. But I love this place and it wouldn't keep us from returning every year!

My husband wanted to suprise me with a trip for my birthday. When we first got in to Glenwood and made it thru the town and crossed the river and realized we had another 9 miles til we got to the Inn we could not believe it. Not even half way up the mountain all we could think about was the future drives up and down the 9 miles to get in and out of town. When we got to the Inn they gave us a tour showed us our room. We had the honey moon room and I think it was great. I believe it's the only one with a fire place, and even in July it got cold enough to use it. Only one problem with the room, no stand up shower. Oh well. The room was also in the best location. It was right next to the hot tub and parking. There was also a little path right by (we never had time to check walk it) that crossed a creek and we were told went straight to the chair lift of the ski resort behind us. We stayed 3 nights, but were up and gone each day for other planned activities. I loved this Inn and my husband and I are trying to plan another trip back up this winter. I don't want to leave the Inn this time around. What else do you need where there is a hidden ski resort right behind you. There seemes to be so much to explore around the Inn and breakfast was awsome as well. If your planning a weekend get away or vacation in Glenwood this is the place to stay.

Beautiful scenery, beautiful nature, quite. Mr. & Mrs. DuBois were way beyond accomodating. I would suggest that you go on a diet before booking there as the breakfast is way-way beyond delicious and you will gain weight. Traveled from Florida to Colorado and booked this Inn from picutures and talking to Mrs. DuBois and it was everything and more then what we expected. We had to meet relatives in Glenwood Springs for dinner before arriving at the Inn, so we were late arriving, called and they made it pleasantly known that it would be no problem what so ever and they would make arraingments for us to find our key and directions to our room if we arrived after hours!!!

My entire family, which included three generations, greatly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful inn. Hosts were accomodating, location is gorgeous, beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and food was great! They even had a corner devoted to all sort of toys, which, since we have a 3-yr-old, was a great bonus!

Gretchen and her daughter couldn't have been nicer. The breakfasts were beyond superb! The attention to small details: beautiful flowers on the deck, hummingbird feeders that kept my 16 year old son intrigued and the hot tub under the stars was wonderful. The Inn is worn but clean and welcoming and ideal for anyone looking for a place to stay outside of Glenwood. It gave us a different persepctive on Glenwood Springs. I can't wait to return with my sister and sit on the deck enjoying the sunshine and beauty that is around you.
