“Perfect start for our first Colorado visit!”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

What a treat! Jim and Sharill Hawkins have done a spectacular job with the Four Mile Creek Bed and Breakfast in Glenwood Springs Colorado. We enjoyed 2 nights in the Red Barn Suite, a wonderfully renovated barn with so much charm. Jim and Sharill gave us perfect advice for our day trips around Glenwood Springs and we began each day with one of the best breakfasts we have ever eaten! We were able to view all of the “room/suite” accommodations and would not have been disappointed with any of the options. The web site provided all the information we needed and booking was easy! Don’t miss an opportunity to stay at this wonderful B&B!!

Room Tip: The Red Barn Suite has a claw foot tub with a hand-held shower. Not a problem for us but if you mus...

My partner and I visited Glenwood Springs in August 2012. We searched for somewhere to stay and, thanks to tripadvisor, came across Four Mile Creek B&B. The reviews were incredibly positive (except for one) so we thought we'd give it a go. We stayed in the Creekside Cabin - a rustic-style cabin with all you would need for a comfortable stay. Listening to the creek running (gently) beside the cabin was so relaxing and being just a little way out of town (although not too far) was perfect.
Having read the reviews we didn't realise just how beautiful it would be! Jim and Sharill were the most accommodating, friendly, approachable hosts we have encountered. Breakfast was wonderful!! (Sharill is quite the cook and, by all accounts, makes wonderful pies!) Sharill prepared fresh, very tasty food and Jim ensured we were well watered and entertained!
They welcomed us into their home and instantly made us feel at home. They invited us to look around the grounds at our leisure and even invited us in to their home one evening to share music and listen to Jim play and sing songs he had written. What a wonderful experience that was! A talented man with some stories to share! His CDs are wonderful to listen to.
Whoever wrote the damning review was clearly put out by something outside the B&B. It is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. OK, the bathroom in the creekside cabin was not the most modern, but it all added to the charm of the B&B.
Whilst Jim and Sharill made no mention of adding a review on here (other B&B's solicited reviews) we couldn't help but share our experiences.
A truly wonderful place to stay, relax and enjoy what Glenwood Springs has to offer.
If ever we were to return to Glenwood Springs, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: We loved the Creekside Cabin but we are sure the other rooms are beautiful.

Very quaint, out-of-the-way B&B in Glenwood Springs. The proprietors are super friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the barn suite which is charming, rustic, and private. My wife and I agreed that this was the best place we stayed while in Colorado. Jim showed us around, provided maps to local attractions such as natural hot springs, and even alerted us to the local soup contest at the farmers market in town the night we arrived. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Four Mile Creek Bed and Breakfast is delightful and a must if visiting The Roaring Fork Valley. We stayed in The Creekside Cabin which had a full kitchen and was situated along a bubbling stream. It was incredibly relaxing, inviting, and charming. Sunset was spent on the grounds under a large blue spruce - idyllic. The main house was the scene of a breakfast which was delicious and featured apple quiche, sausage, orange juice, and fresh coffee, a great way to start the day in this wonderful part of Colorado. Our hosts, the Hawkins, were extremely hospitable and offered guests great regional travel ideas. Whether visiting in autumn or skiing Sunlight in winter, Four Mile Creek is a wonderful Glenwood accommodation choice.

Room Tip: The Creekside Cabin was wonderful and featured a full kitchen.

This was our first time staying in a B&B. We stayed in the creek side cabin and couldn't have asked for a better first experience. The cabin is rustic and quaint but spacious and extremely comfortable. The creek rippling outside of our window made for a great nights sleep. Jim was so hospitable! He gave us several great local exploring tips. Breakfast was great and take time to swing on the wooden swing next to the house and take a long walk.

Four Mile Creek B&B was great. Breakfasts were delicious, the hosts were extremely friendly, and the room quite comfortable. The antiques and old farm equipment provided great conversation pieces. A little ways from downtown Glenwood Springs meant you have to drive to dinner - but you're away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet and great for stargazing.

Be prepared if you stay in the barn, the shower is handheld in a clawfoot tub, which can make it a bit difficult to wash away the dirt from an adventurous day in the mountains.

We'd definitely stay here again!

Although my husband doesn't like to stay in B and Bs, I talked him into this one, and I'm glad we stayed here. We both loved the place! It was quiet, private, spacious, and unlike (in a good way) any place we've stayed. The hosts Cheryl and Jim were so welcoming and polite. If you're lucky, Jim will give you a tour of the upstairs barn performance space. You can have as much privacy or socializing as you like. We stayed in the barn which was decorated with a loving touch to detail. It could appear in Architectural Digest! Jim renovated the barn himself, and it was a wonderful place to stay. Next time we'll stay longer. They also have two private cabins for rent-perfect for honeymooners. Oh, and breakfast was scrumptious-mushroom omelette with sun-dried tomatoes. Cheryl bakes fresh homemade cookies daily as well-great with a glass of wine in their backyard watching the wildlife (kitties and ducks)!
