“Best place for Kids to have fun!!”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

It is truly hard to find a place that is both safe and extremely fun for your children. I have finally found the place to go with my 6 year old daughter. We came here last month for a 2 night stay. We loved it so much that we came back for Spring Break a month later. We are here for 7 nights and having a blast. The customer service is awesome and they all remember your name. Not fake at all like some places. It gives you the feeling of being at home, except your home has a water park down stairs and an adventure park across the street that you can ride the Gondola over to it. You can have a lot of fun without ever leaving the property by car. The gondola is right outside the front door. No the water park is not huge but it is great for about 30 kids to have a blast safely. Parents can play too or sit in the large hot tub. There are quite a number of chairs for others to read books or just sit and surf the internet. Yes, they have free wi-fi. I can't wait for the 3 new rides to open over at the adventure park in May 2012. We are already planning to come back for that. We bought annual passes called the "Thrill Pass" that last a year from the date you purchased them. It really pays off to buy the Thrill Passes. You get your money's worth 2 or 3 days after buying them. Once they are purchased you can ride everything, including the gondola, as much as you want. Plus, you get 10% off at the restaurant and general store. Don't forget, there is a ton more to do throughout the town of Glenwood Springs. You gotta check out Hotel Glenwood Springs. I suggest getting a room that faces the gondolas and parking lot. It is a lot quieter, plus your kids can watch the gondolas go up and down all day. Jessica and Kaleb at the front desk are wonderful. If you need anything at all just ask them. They will do their best to help you.

Room Tip: Get a room that faces the parking lot and gondolas. It is much quieter.

We stayed here with our 4 and 7 year old kids and they had a blast. The pool was fun for them - though it was a bit chaotic with older kids jumping in and throwing things. It would be good if one staff member was there to supervise since many families didn't seem to follow the rules in the pool. Other than that, the rooms are comfortable and the location is good. Great location if you are taking the tram up to the Adventure Park! Staff were friendly and the free breakfast was decent. Thanks!!

There were several problems with this hotel. The beds in the room were super bouncy so any time someone moved, someone else almost went off of the bed. I had requested a roll away bed and the room was so small that there was no place to the roll away. The indoor water park is suitable for those under the age of 8. My 13 year old boys were not allowed into the pool area without adult supervision even though the deepest part of the pool is 3 feet 6 inches deep and you can't stay in that area because that is where you come off of the waterslide. The front desk was rude when we checked in. There were two people standing there and yet we were made to wait because one was talking on her cell phone. Even though when you check in, you have to sign a paper about their rules about the pool, there were kids under the age of 8 who were unsupervised and were very obnoxious. Not one hotel employee ever even checked. I will never return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

We had a king room which was clean and spacious and came with a jetted tub. The staff are very friendly. The pool was a huge hit both with our 1 year old and our 5 year old, and a life saver when the weather outside was too windy to enjoy the hot springs. The hotel is a little off the main street, but still close enough to walk to the hot springs pool, and is right at the base of the gondola for the caverns.
The only disappointment was breakfast. Nothing hot was served, with the exception of a make it yourself waffle. Breakfast consisted of oatmeal, cereal, yogurt and donuts. Even La Quintas and Holiday Inn Express (one next door for $10 less a night for the same room type) has eggs, sausage and biscuit/gravy. We ate breakfast out both mornings... That said, we'd stay there again when visiting Glenwood Springs.

We headed out of town for a short spring break trip to the Hotel Glenwood Springs with our 4 year old and 1 year old. We had a *great* time. Clean hotel, super friendly staff, and the water park is a blast. We stayed in a suite which provided plenty of room for our family of four. We will definitely be coming back & recommending to friends.

We stayed here at the end of February. The staff is just amazing. So friendly and helpful. The hotel pool is actually an indoor waterpark with a slide. My older son played water basketball, my middle son took advantage of the slide and my younger son loved the kiddie pool. The rooms were updated and clean. The continental breakfast was good and convenient!

We got discounted tickets from the front desk for the Adventure Park and Hot Springs. The gondola up to the Adventure Park shares the same parking lot at the hotel so that was nice. The ride up the mountain was worth the trip alone. Just breathtaking. My kids rode the alpine slide so many times I lost count. There is height restrictions so I had to ride with my youngest son. The laser tag was a big hit and a nice break from the cold. My sons also loved the 4D movies but they made me a little queasy. The restaurant did not really have a "kid friendly" menu but it is off-season. The view from the restaurant is just so amazing. The staff at the Adventure Park were so nice (and patient). There is really a lot to do here and even more during the summer.

The Hot Springs was okay. It was too cold for my sons to jump in and out and the slide is closed during the winter. After an hour they were ready to go. I enjoyed it for relaxation but not a high point for the kids.

I would highly recommend this hotel. You will never find a better staff. The location is unbeatable - just a short drive from movies, dining, shopping. The rooms were great and not overpriced.

Room Tip: We had a suite since we are a family of five. Huge!
