“We keep coming back”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

My husband and I love this little pub. Whether we ride up on the train, or driving or riding, the hotel and restaurant are fun.
The beers are always good. Whatever you are in the mood for or want to pair with food you really can't miss with any of their selections.
I had the roasted chicken enchiladas and a my husband had a burger. Even though the Nut Brown Ale is one of my favorites here, I was in the mood for a Honey Ale so I got that instead. It went really well with the enchiladas. The beer was bright and tasty and the enchiladas were fresh and with just the right amount of spicy.
The husband's burger was a big one, and the sweet potato tots on the side were hard to keep out of of. I just had to steal a couple when he wasn't looking...every so often.
I was disappointed their banana chocolate chip cake was no longer on the menu, but I tried another chocolate cake and it was just about as light and good. I guess I'll have to try to figure out how to make the banana cake at home.
It does get loud and it looks like a place all the locals come to eat. That's usually a good sign. After a long day in the car it would be nice if they had a bar area that was aimed more at adults but space is premium and in this economy who would turn away a group of kiddos? Service always fast and friendly.
All of this is connected to the hotel. The springs is just a walk over a bridge. The downtown area is a fun walk, and not as touristy as the other side or a place like Estes, which is nice.

“Great Beer & Food - Try the Beer Sampler”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a great place to go eat and if your a night owl, one of the only places in town that is open late on a Saturday night as the rest of the town closes down completely and the only things left will be a few 7-Elevens.

Across the street from the Amtrack station and part of the same building as the Denver Hotel it is pretty easy to find and street parking is too terrible either.

The food is great, the rainbow trout was great and the beer samplers and the hard cider were wonderful as well.

“good beer and food”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

This is part of the Denver Hotel and is next to the river so is easy to find. There is a good choice of food and beers. In July we had to wait 45 minutes for a table .The hotel lobby is plush and has wifi so we relaxed there as we waited. If you are in a rush book ahead. It is popular with locals too.

“Awesome food! Awesome service!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

We go to GCBC each time we go to Glenwood. Kid's food is served on a frisbee they can take home later. Food is amazing. Never had anything there we have not loved. Staff is amazing. You have to eat there at least once. We usually eat there multiple times!
