“Take home a Homemade treat if you are too full~YUM!”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We were referred to this restaurant by the Best Western in town, because their breakfast was lacking in many areas. When we arrived it was busy because it was a Sunday morning, we only had to wait a few moments to be seated though and while we waited we were mesmerized by the homemade pastries! The menu has plenty to offer, there we four of us and y husband and I shared a Breakfast Burrito that was fresh and HUGE, plenty large enough to share! My sister-in-law had biscuits and gravy and loved the homemade biscuits, and my brother-in-law enjoyed French toast with Palisade Peaches! YUM! We all LOVED everything we got, and were all so full we had to take home a peach strudel to enjoy later with coffee! We had a great hostess that kept bringing us water & coffee and we had a sweet waitress. The restaurant is like a little chalet, we wanted to hear the owner play the Swiss horn, but he was not there at the time, so we will return next time we are in GLENWOOD and would recommend it to others!

“Monday morning fall back choice”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

The place we wanted to go was closed & this was recommended by the hotel clerk... My husband LOVED the Eggs Benedict, but I found the other offerings pretty mediocre. The atmosphere was nice, clean and comfortable, but that doesn't make up for the mediocre waitress & the food that tasted like it sat awhile before being served.

While there, the owner played the Swiss horn for everyone and told us it's history. A very fun time. Good service and great pastries.

“Had great expections for this restaurant.”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

The food was awesome. The waitress was very, very nice. But halfway through our meal, a large party that included two crying infants and two toddlers were seated in the middle of the dining room (next to us) and other diners and it was unpleasant. It was too late for us but they continued to seat new arrivals near this group and nobody seemed very happy about it. By the way, did I mention that the food was really good. Had two of the specials, one being a BLTA omlette and the other a Philly Steak Griddle - wow! And the pastry we tried not to leave with was enjoyed about an hour down the road.
