Plan to spend 3-4 hours on the trail up and down, snapping pictures of some fabulous pieces of nature. It only takes a little over an hour up and equal amount down, but absorbing the views up for a newbie were fantastic. We were lucky as the weather was cool to start and pockets of sun and clouds through the day made for an enjoyable experience.

I LIKED EVERYTHING!

The hike was fairly short but the path was well taken care of. The canyon walls and stream made for a beautiful hike up. Then when you got to the top thats where the fun starts!

The lake is filled with beautiful clear water, the floor is an amazing blue, there are multiple waterfalls, plenty of sitting, chill areas to rest and enjoy the views.

Also, you must climb above the waterfalls because iis AMAZING! Just do it. Too much to explain :)

This was a fabulous hike and one I would love to do again. We saw hikers of all ages and abilities on the trail. The last few paces were a little rough for my husband who has a fear of heights but as soon as we made it through that two minutes he was fine as the path evens out and you come around the bend to see the gorgeous lake. I showed pictures to a friends who commented that it looked like Fern Gully - and in person it is even more breath-taking! Get there early for best parking and fewer hikers. Bring your own water and snacks. Don't forget the camera!

This trail is absolutely worth the trek. Views are amazing and the best one is at the top. The hike up isn't that bad, mild at worst. Def a must do if you can.

We just visited hanging lake on Thursday evening, We weren't sure what to expect, but it was worth the hike. It's definitely a climb, if you are in decent shape It's not terrible. It's basically one mile of hiking straight up. Pretty much like walking up stairs the whole time. You will cross 6 bridges and once you reach the metal railing you are just a few more steps away! I'd say it takes a good hour going up from the parking lot if you don't stop too much.
