“The closest thing to New York pizza taste that you can get in Colorado”
Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

I've lived in Colorado for seven years but am originally from New Jersey. I've tried many different pizza places but Russo's comes closest to the taste of New York/New Jersey pizza. To test my theory and taste buds, I took my dad to Russo's (an original New York pizza maker) and he agreed. So if you're looking for taste and quality closest to the best new york pizza made, Russo's is your place. Sit down seating is available. Prices are about thr same as anywhere else in colorado (a little pricier than back east). They also have a nice little Italian restaurant that serves up some good Italian food at nighttime. Enjoy!

“Poor ambience, poor lasagne, not cheap”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

The restaurant is very basic, with brown paper sheets to keep the plastic tables clean. The lasagne was dreadful, even though advertised as authentic Italian food - Italian sausage used instead of minced/chopped beef, what seemed like canned tomatoes rather than tomato sauce, hardly any cheese sauce - I have eaten lasagne all over Italy and this was nothing like it should be. Also, it was too hot and spicy - again, not authentic. The salad was good but expensive. The garlic rolls we ordered never came. The service was condescending and offhand. In the end, we paid more than for much much better meals elsewhere

“Pretty tasty!”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

I ordered the alfredo pasta and was very tasty. The rest of our group ordered pizza and they had nothing but wonderful things to say on how great it was. A few even said it was the best they've had! The sit down service was good with a comforting environment. We enjoyed it very much!

“Don't bother!”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

While on vacation in Glenwood Springs my family of 5 visited Russo's. We were greeted by a young girl who would have clearly been doing anything other than working. She was rude and acted bothered by our presence. We ordered sodas for the kids and Beers for the adults and a large pizza. We asked for a cup of ice to fill with water to go with our beers and after a huff and eye roll were told we would have to pay for a soda to get a cup of ice. The pizza with frozen crust and canned sauce came to our table warm, but not hot and was rubbery. The manager brought our pizza over and acted even more put out to be working then the employee. Skip this place, there has to be better in glenwood!

“Pizza was okay”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

The cheese pizza had lots of grease on top and took a lot of napkins to absorb it. The taste was okay, but not really special. Maybe we were the problem, because lots of people recommended it. The cheese seem to lack much taste in my opinion
