“Beautiful location with lots of nearby activities!”
Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

Yes, this is a fun campground!! We stayed here for two nights in our RV with 5 children during our summer roadtrip west. The staff is friendly and helpful, its clean and quiet, the location is beautiful, its right next to the Colorado River and an easy paved walking path, and there is plenty to do on site (rafting and ziplining) as long as you make reservations ahead of time. The only negatives I can say is that it's a bit dusty and rugged, and for our 40' RV it was a challenge to pull in and out of our site. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this spot. Plus, it's close to town and the hot springs!!

They were very helpful and professional. We a had a large group of 24 for a whole week family reunion. We showed up a little early and they were able to accommodate us. Our large group challenged the staff with many questions about the area and attractions and they were always able to help us. The amenities and setting were fabulous.

We were there in February and still had a great time. Our group did some fishing, ate out, ate in and played some games together in the larger cabin. Newer accomodations and very comfortable. The loft bedroom (some cabins) is great for kids. Great folks and very friendly and helpful - went out of their way to work out the kinks...

Room Tip: Really don't need a pool - the hot springs are just a couple miles in town.

we were with a group of 25 people we had 6 family cabins for all of us and they were very clean and the kitchens had thing I forgot like a cutting board and a bottle opener. Very nice resort everything was very clean and they were very accommodating with such a large group. we went rafting on Father's Day with rock garden rafting at the resort all our guides were amazing. We will be back again in the winter for ski season.

We have stayed here three times and it was good. I called to reserve a spot in May and then had to cancel. I gave them two weeks notice and they wouldn't refund my card?! They even still had the extras on my cards for dogs and kids on.... Not very happy about that!

It was our first time visiting the resort and we were blown away by the beauty of the surroundings and the resort itself. The place looks impeccably clean and well maintained. You couldn't have thought of a better place for camping - with a tent or a trailer camper. We stopped by the main building to get a better view of the mountains and the river and found ourselves at a cozy open bar. Upon having a drink we were greeted by the manager. Kevin was extremely friendly and took his time to chat about the resort, its history and even plans for the future. We ended up staying for a terrific steak dinner that was cooked right there on their outdoor grill.
The words or even photo pictures absolutely cannot describe the grand beauty of the nature in Glenwood Canyon and that is why we will definitely be back

A quick story--my wife, daughter, and I arrived for a nice 5 day trip around mid-afternoon on a Friday. After a long drive from Denver, we were looking forward to settling in with our 30 foot trailer. Upon arriving, we asked if it was possible to get a riverfront spot knowing that our trailer was perhaps too large, but were IMMEDIATELY accommodated after management (Kevin) saw our smaller (in length) tow vehicle, and insisted we head down to a premium spot. We then headed to the dump station, and all hell broke loose. Our trailer hitch receiver basically broke off of our car (luckily it was properly chained, so the trailer did not go anywhere nor do any damage to the property). Before I knew what was going on, 4 guys came and not only helped re-attach the trailer, but guided us to a very nice spot and helped us hook everything up (water, electric, etc.). They made what would've been a trip-killer into a story to tell our family and friends. To boot, Kevin gave us a litany of places in the area that could help us tow our car or get our hitch repaired, which we did at no charge the next morning, making our trip home today seamless. He even offered us a free couple drinks at the restaurant on the property for our troubles.

My wife and I own 2 businesses that preach customer service as being job one. This place has it down to a science, and understands what it takes to make you happy. We will certainly be back again and again, not just for the amazing location and views (you are right along the bike path and less than 6 miles from Hanging Lake, and 3 miles from Glenwood Springs), but also because I'm confident in how this place conducts business. Kevin and seemingly the entire crew checked on us the next day to make sure things with our hitch had worked out, and that we were having a good time.

I didn't get a chance to say this personally when we left, but to Kevin and the guys who helped us out--a big thanks, I owe you next time we are there.

To everyone else, don't pass up on this property if they have availability. You won't be disappointed.

I cannot thank you enough for the kind words towards the Glenwood Canyon Resort and its staff, Ian F. We have worked very hard on our customer satisfaction and are happy to see it pay off in great guest experiences such as yours. We would love to have you and your family come back, and actually, we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary of Ownership here in Glenwood Canyon - It sounds like the perfect opportunity to thank Kevin face-to-face. Thanks again, Ian F. and we hope to see you again soon!
