For a Class A RV this is no place to go. Trailer Life needs to get a life as they overrate it. Unfriendly - we arrived at 1:55 and were told we could not enter until 2:00. We were blown off when we complained about the poor internet. Sites are unlevel, dirty, noisy, crowded and sewer connections remote. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

We stayed here for a little family vacation, even though we live about 1 hour away. I tell you- after two full days, my kids didn't want to leave! The activities at this resort are plentiful and fun. Be cautious though, they can be strict on zip line weight requirements. However, the activities check-in lady was the nicest, most helpful person and got us taken care of quickly and effectively. We did have a minor problem with our RV, but that was taken care of in a quick, efficient manner. The staff was so friendly, and the grounds are beautiful. The bar and grill seemed to be closed off to the public, so it was never busy and the food was delicious! We will definitely stay here again!

Staying in a tent, camper cabin or other cabin at the Glenwood Canyon Resort, you will be surrounded by the beauty of the area! We stayed in a camper cabin for 3 nights. It was a great location to enjoy the hiking and water sports of the area, but also close enough to town to head in for lunch or dinner. We'd love to go again!

It would be helpful for the staff to place several hooks in the camper cabins to allow guests to hang items instead of just using the floor.

Great location, but that's about it. Overpriced, loud trains, cramped spaces, no pull throughs, no fire rings unless you are by the river. Bring about 30 feet of sewer line because the sewer hookups are at the curb at the very front of the site - about 50 feet from the electric at the back. After paying over $100 for my children to go across the river and back on their zip line, I was reprimanded for taking pictures of my own kids, even though I left the zip line facility and found a spot along the river to take my pictures. When they saw me on the river bank taking pictures they chased me like I was some kind of criminal, and falsely accused me of shouting profanities. Ultimately, I guess they have a right to set their own rules, just like I have a right to share my opinions on the Internet and stay elsewhere.

I never write reviews, but I have to on this one. Train noise, dirty gravel, cars, buses, vans, going fast creating so much dust you can't sit outside. Sewer is in front of the parking and electric is in the back. We had to pull up front into the road to get the sewer hooked up. They are running a rafting, zip line business here and can care less about you or the noise, and dirt. This is not a good RV place at all. There is nothing to do unless you buy something. You cannot see the river and there is no grass. Our rig, car and everything is so dirty with white chat. We will never stay here again. No pool, no patio, no view. They could do so much more if they would for the money they charge.

Room Tip: Blue Spruce RV at Bayfield Co. No place like it. Wonderful!!!!

I have lived in Colorado for over 25 years and camped all over this beautiful state. I would never, ever recommend Glenwood Canyon "Resort" (ha!) to even my worst enemy! Our camp site was the size of a small closet. Barely large enough for our 6 man tent and one camp chair. The train comes through the camp several times at night and is very loud. So on one side is the highway and on the other side are the train tracks. The bathrooms were constantly wet and filthy. When we went to the office to ask for some assistance they were rude, and obviously didn't care about the guests or their comfort. And for this pleasure I was allowed to pay $45/night! Never again! Way too crowded, dirty and expensive.

What they don't tell you is that 100+car freight trains roll through across the river from you throughout the day and night. Nothing worse than being woken out of a sound sleep to the rumble of a freight train. This was the first time I've booked something and didn't check here first. Will never do that again!! With regard to the bathrooms, I found them to be clean (they clean three times per day), but the camping spots are VERY crowded and the caliber of weekend clientele left a lot to be desired (Confederate flags, etc...). The No-Name Bar and Grill left a lot to be desired. For four people (only two of whom had alcohol) had a $100 check, not impressed at all.

Room Tip: Unless you LOVE trains, find a room somewhere other than here.
