We had never done this before and I think this is a good one to start with because it's not too high or too long. Staff was knowledgeable and made you feel at ease. Give it a try!

We spent a long weekend with another couple in Colorado, we wanted to have a fun day outdoors and thought white water rafting would be perfect! We are in late 20s/early 30s. We signed up for the half day on Shoshone, followed by lunch, and then zip lining, ropes course and rock wall climbing. The rafting trip was a bust. The rapids you go over are within the first 15 minutes only, at max there was 5 rapids-maybe only 3. The rest of the time (2+ hours) is essentially a float trip. It is a pretty float, traffic is present though most of it on the highway/local roads. They stop 3-4 times for you to get out and swim, the water is not warm. If you are looking for a thrill seeking fun day with a lot of rapids, this is not for you. This was 2 of our first times white water rafting, and it was too easy/slow for us...we were wanting much more. If you are a family with small children looking for something really easy, as simple as floating in a pool on a raft...this may be for you.

The lunch they give you (included in some packages) is a burger, chicken sandwich or veggie wrap and chips and water. The burger was good, just not gourmet as advertised. The bar area outside is nice and relaxing. You can pay extra for food items off their menu, good options.

The zip lining, rock climbing and ropes course was much better than the rafting. Expect to wait awhile because you are in a group of people but it is very organized. The zip lining is not a long thrill seeking ride, but it's fun to do. Rock climbing is your typical wall, hard, medium, and easy to choose from. The ropes course was fun, a good challenge and laughs!

We camped at the Glenwood Canyon Resort, which is part of the Zipline Adventures and under the same ownership. We had a reservation to camp by the river and the owner told us to pick any one of 8 open sites. We picked the spot we wanted and and set up. About ten minutes later, we got into an angry confrontation with a group of Swiss tourists who apparently had been assigned the same spot. Long story short, the owner was quite rude and went into a long diatribe about how he's just going to have to stop trying to help people. It was clearly him that made the error, and as a paying customer, I didn't appreciate being made to feel like I did something wrong.

We camped right next to the zipline and it does go back and forth over the river. So we watched people zipping for two days. For the $80 price tag, it seemed like a pretty short ride. We didn't do it.

Family of 4 on 15 day road trip and this was on top of list of favorite outings. Husband and two kids did the ropes course and enjoyed that just as much as the zipline. I joined them at the end and we all did the zip line. It was a fun day. Another reviewer thought $45 was pricey for two zips but when planning trip, other zip line companies, although longer, were a lot more money, And it is fun to tell people that you zipped across the Colorado River. So for a first time zipper, it was ideal. If you wanted a more intense zip experience, you may be disappointed. I agree with others that they need to relax on their no photography rule. Their photographer's photos were very good but we didn't want to pay the extra money for them. The two young men in charge of our group did an excellent job. It was very hot so I recommend that if doing the ropes course and zip that you bring water and dress to be in the sun for a few hours.

This zip line is so overpriced for the length. You pay $45 pp for a 10 second trip across the river and another trip back. ONE TRIP. Photographs are not allowed, so they can make more $$ off you by selling you their photos. We stayed at the adjoining RV park and never saw anyone on the zip line, climbing wall or ropes course except some people who had purchased the package with a raft trip and a meal. If you add up the prices of the three, it is not a good deal.
