“Excellent food and service, good location”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our supper at the Pullman at the end of May, 2013. Almost everything on the menu looked good, and everything that we ordered proved to be so. They have many unusual items listed, with ample flavor combinations to provide delights to anyone, carnivores especially (we quite enjoyed our appetizer of bone marrow). Our server was manic, but at the same time amiable and helpful. It was a little bit noisy, but that doesn't hurt when dining with two kids under age two.

I could happily spend a few nights at the Hotel Denver, seldom venturing farther than The Pullman, The Brewery, and breakfast at the Daily Bread.

“Fabulous food /Bad manager”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We dined at the Pullman twice. The first on June 20th.There were 12 of us . The wait staff was great setting us up and with no trouble gave the 6 couples their own bill.
The food is local and creative . The salads interesting and innovative. Duck, lamb, rabbit, pork, beef and fish in different preparations. The small plates are a great idea for those that don't want a large entree. We enjoyed trying several of the small plates . We went back the 2nd night the 21st with reservations for 7. Our waitress had to leave after taking our orders. We again enjoyed all of our food choices. The check out however was a disaster. Our waitress brought one bill instead of the separate ones we had requested. We tried to sort it out to little avail. The waitress was busy with other tables and we asked the manager if he could help and his response was " she has been given all the help she needs". The manager then proceeded to chat with a friend at the bar and ignore the situation. A half hour later we were able to leave with bills settled. IT was a very bad ending to a wonderful meal and day in Glenwood Springs . The attitude was one of callous disregard.

ezmeralda63,

I do apologize that it took so long to separate you bill. And in the end not tipping the server and refusing to pay part of the tab doesn't seem to help things either. I guess we should be like most other restaurants and not split checks and auto-grat tables to avoid these issues in the future.

“Maybe it was an off day”
Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

After reading several TripAdvisor reviews, Diane and I were really looking forward to a late (1:30) lunch here. We ordered the short rib sandwich with mustard and horseradish sauce - after a long wait the tasteless sandwiches appeared. Our waitress was pleasant. The restaurant (including restrooms) was clean.

RoyAllovertheUS,

I am sorry I didn't catch your slow service or disappointment of the short rib sandwich. We always strive for our guests to feel satisfaction with coming in.

I hope we do better next time,

“Modern, exciting, and lots of taste!!”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

The Pullman is a gem in western Colorado waiting to be discovered each day by an unsuspecting traveler taking in mountains and leisure. The menu is popping with creative modern dishes, while capturing the essence of western Colorado. There is no dish that can be a wrong choice as each is carefully crafted like that expected from a New York 4 star legend. My favorites are the grass fed burger and the chorizo pulled pork. For dinner the braised pork belly is simply amazing! I would call this my favorite restaurant in the Roaring Fork Valley if not for the amazing steaks at the Juicy Lucy. If you're in the area these two are cant miss.

“Inventive and tasty”
Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

Interesting menu. Great goat cheese and herb stuffed squash blossoms. The lamb curry over risotto was a pertfect balance of savory with a touch of sweet with the green grapes.
The flank steak with caramelized onion and mushroom orzo was also a treat. A great place to go for different menu choices.
