“Nice Modern Hotel Away From The Highway”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

My partner and I were in Glenwood Springs for a telemark ski race at Sunlight Resort. I booked the hotel not knowing where exactly it was, but was very plesantly surprised to find it wasn't right on the highway like many other hotels. It was very quiet, but within easy walking distance to a shopping center. The community rec center is also just across the street.

The lobby was fresh and modern, with a little cafe on one side and a large lounge area with couches, tvs, computers, and a large fireplace. My partner spent most of her weekend on the couch in front of the fireplace writing papers for school, while I was out skiing and playing and was quite happy to be there (and she can be very picky with where she studies).

Though it appeared they were in the middle of a remodel (front door was blocked when we checked in for wet tile), the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The cafe was on the expensive side for what it served, and the breakfast food was over-salted, but it was well laid out with small booth "pods" (each with it's own TV), counter seating, and traditional tables.

This a relatively new hotel conveniently located next to a new shopping center, a mile from downtown Glenwood and with convenient access to I-70. The rooms are well appointed, with a modern "bistro" adjacent to the lobby with a healthier menu of options than typical. There is a small work out room, small pool and jacuzzi. The decor is modern. During my visit, I did note some of the hallway wall paper was missing in places. This appeared to me to be some finishing punchlist item that had not yet been addressed. Overall, I found this to be a modern, clean, comfortable and convenient hotel with reasonable lodging and food prices. Front desk reception was polite, courteous and professional.

Friendly prompt service, both from hotel and in 'bistro'. Good facility, work out room, pool, lobby, ez free parking. Rooms good for work or leisure. Plenty of plugs for phones and laptops. I would stay here again.

This is not the first or last time we are staying here. Very new and fresh, we received a free upgrade which was awesome. The location is very good. Close enough to the pool, target (if you forgot anything lol) and starbucks right next door (they serve starbucks in the lobby bistro as well but service is not fast).

Spent 1 nite here. This is a newer courtyard and is very nice. It even has a non-bathtub shower - thanks Marriott!!!
Room was quiet and very comfortable. Tyler in the Bistro was very good to us! I recommend this hotel!!!

The service here was top notch! We were especially impressed with Casey who helped us get some drinks in the bistro & helped us the next day for breakfast. He was extremely friendly & attentive. He even remembered my name! I was traveling with my two daughters and he gave them suggestions of some things to do. He truly enhanced our mini vacation. Thank you, Casey!

The cleanliness of the room was a little spotty. But luckily, Casey made us forget about that.

Stayed here for 4 nights in Nov 2012 for a business trip. The hotel looks and feels like the Courtyards popping up everywhere. They are well decorated and I love the bistro in the hotel. I had a glass of wine and hummus one evening, was very good. If you stop in during happy hour you can get a discount. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and had great eating recommendations. Bed was nice room was clean and a nice location, about a 5 min drive to downtown. Only a couple negatives about the hotel: 1.It can be noisy depending on where your room is. Mine was at the end of the hall so not too bad but others who were closer in had more noise. 2. The lobby is kept at a balmy 120 degrees or so, so don't plan on hanging out in your sweater :)
