It was a strenuous hike in but well worth it! We went the first week of November. The water was the most beautiful color and there were benches around the little lake where you could just sit awhile and take in the beautiful setting with waterfalls. When you're at the lake, be sure to climb just a few steps more to the top of the waterfall. Such a wonderful paradise! I came back in April but the trail was closed. By the way, almost everything is closed in Beaver Creek, Vail and Glenwood Springs from April 16 - May 31, so time your vacation accordingly.
