As noted in previous reviews the snowmobile tours guided by Ty are one of the best outdoor adventures around! The equipment is well maintained, Ty is an excellent guide, teacher and outdoorsman. He knows the trails inside and out and caters to your level and creates a fantastic experience. His cat like reflexes are not bad either! The scenery includes high mountain ranges, snowy evergreen hilly paths and wide open spaces. Worth every penny and then some to do the adventure afternoon trip. Don't miss it!

one of the last real small mountains, run by locals, I assume owned locally, this place is a true GEM! Close to Glenwood Springs, a few hotels on mountain, and NOBODY there. We had powder 3 days after the storm, my longest lift line in 3 days had 6 people in it. Killer food at the base, Liftopia got me sweet ticket deals 30+ days before our trip.

I only had one day to sneak in some skiing on this trip and had never been to Sunlight Mountain. I lucked out and went on a perfect clear calm day that got up to about 30 degrees. Everyone there was fantastic. It had snowed 5 inches the day before and was groomed to perfection. There were no lift lines. The food was very good. I chose to get my rental equipment and pass the night before from their shop in Glenwood Springs. Loren the ski tech was awesome. This was a fantastic day of skiing. It is a smaller resort which makes it perfect for people who have not skied much or have not been on skis for a while. A great place to get your ski legs back. If you want challenging terrain there are a number of narrow black runs to test you.

Only one word could describe our morning with Sunlight Snowmobile Tours...amazing!!! We had the perfect snow day for snowmobiling. Ty and Steve were excellent tour guides. For the part of the group who wanted to go fast, Ty was a great guide. While Steve was there for those of us that wanted to go at their own slower pace. They both were very responsive for any problems (i.e., someone going off track) and we had such a great time. I would definitely recommend going on the first ride in the morning. The freshly fallen snow was perfect for a smooth ride and you really get to kick up some snow. This made for an excellent first ski trip and definitely the best highlight of the trip.

If you want to get into the backcountry on a snowmobile near Snowmass/Aspen, take a ride with Sunlight Snowmobile Tours. Ty, the guide, was outstanding and focused on delivering a unique experience on the 30-mile, three-plus hour ride in the mountains in the White River National Forest. The views of the mountains braced against the blue sky were awe-inspiring. Most of the trails were freshly cut by Ty after a massive snow storm blew through the previous night. We had the opportunity to safely open up the snowmobiles across acres of open field. We wound between aspens and up and down hills. When a snowmobile slipped off the trail into deep snow, Ty was on it and, with our help, leveraged it out of the powder and back onto the trail. Had there been a more serious problem, Ty had the tools to solve it. I recommend Sunlight Snowmobile Tours for an extraordinary adventure when you take the day off from skiing.
