Owner description: Located between Aspen and Vail, you'll find the World's Largest Hot Springs Pool. The Ute Indians called it Yampah, meaning "big medicine." Soothe your muscles after outdoor activities year round. The large pool is kept at a comfortable 90°- 93° F and the smaller therapy pool averages about 104° F. Additional amenities include a lodge, spa, athletic club, grill and shopping. Relieve muscle and joint pain, or just relax and feel the wonder of a soak in our hot springs. Soaking in hot, highly concentrated mineral water has many health benefits. Increasing body temperature helps the body naturally kill harmful germs and viruses, eliminate toxins, and increase blood flow. The absorbtion of essential minerals gives the body a natural boost. You will feel the difference within minutes of stepping in. Jump in the large pool, at over 400 feet long, and "cool down." Swim laps or practice your form on the diving board. Water slides, mini golf, and kiddie pool are available in the warmer months. Bring your own cooler and snacks, or stop by the poolside Grill to grab a bite.

“Poor customer service”

We got discounted tickets at the hotel we stayed.

We already had the tickets but had to wait for a long and slow line with only one person working at the entrance. When I tried to ask if we needed to wait in the line, the lady was very rude and we waited for about 30 minutes to get in.

The entrance fee is expensive for what they offer. If you need towels, you need to rent for additional fee. Because we purchased the tickets at our hotel, we brought from our hotel and saved some.

Their lockers also has extra fee.

They have two pools, one warmer than the other. Just boring rectangular pools. They have chairs with bubbles that requires quarters. So you better have a lot of quarters.

What a great way to relax and soak some of your day away. The pool is huge and fits tons of people and there were tons of people there. However, it was a Sunday and we still felt like there was plenty of room for our family of 3 to relax and make our way back and forth in the pool.

There is a huge hot tub and bubbling seats on one side of it. If you want the bubbles, bring quarters because it's machine operated.

There is a cooler side of the pool with a diving board. It was nice watching the kids jump off and try their best to do tricks. There are also two slides that you can purchase ride passes.

You're allowed to bring a cooler with food, but be sure to call and check that this is still their policy. They have a snack bar with hot dogs, nachos, chips, smoothies, etc... at a decent price. I recommend bringing your own towl. It cost $2 to rent one and they are old and worn out, it's like drying off with a paper towel. - lesson learned.

We were surprised at the cost, felt it was a little expensive but we still really enjoyed ourselves and the experience. Approx. $45 for 2 adults, 1 child, 3 towels. It was actually the perfect place to go after the Hanging Lake hike.

Pool hours 9:00am - 10:00pm during the spring/summer and you can rent a locker if needed.

“Worth the trip”

Pretty nice pools that were well maintained. The whirlchairs or whatever they called them seemed like a waste. You can do laps farther down in the cooler pool and there is a doing board.

“Soothing Soak”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Two pools--one like a warm bath or the smaller but hotter pool are both enjoyable. The larger pool has more children in it while the adults congregate in the hot pool. It costs about $14 which is pretty costly for a pool entrance fee. Bring your own towels! They charge $2.50 for a scrap of material. The locker rooms are okay with showers, open areas for changing as well as some curtained changing areas. No great areas for changing babies or toddlers. Read ALL the instructions on the lockers or you will lose your quarters quickly. Most enjoyable time is late afternoon or evening when outdoor temps are cooling down and the pools are warm relief.

Rates are a bit high but you can use all day. If you get there after 7pm the rate is lower but really not worth the price, so get there early so you can get your money's worth. Nice gift shop that is very reasonable and you can buy bathing suits if needed and a wide variety for every one.
