Attraction details
Owner description: Located between Aspen and Vail, you'll find the World's Largest Hot Springs Pool. The Ute Indians called it Yampah, meaning "big medicine." Soothe your muscles after outdoor activities year round. The large pool is kept at a comfortable 90°- 93° F and the smaller therapy pool averages about 104° F. Additional amenities include a lodge, spa, athletic club, grill and shopping. Relieve muscle and joint pain, or just relax and feel the wonder of a soak in our hot springs. Soaking in hot, highly concentrated mineral water has many health benefits. Increasing body temperature helps the body naturally kill harmful germs and viruses, eliminate toxins, and increase blood flow. The absorbtion of essential minerals gives the body a natural boost. You will feel the difference within minutes of stepping in. Jump in the large pool, at over 400 feet long, and "cool down." Swim laps or practice your form on the diving board. Water slides, mini golf, and kiddie pool are available in the warmer months. Bring your own cooler and snacks, or stop by the poolside Grill to grab a bite.

“Really nice except the smell”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Very large pools that were clean and well maintained. We switched back and forth from the warm to the hot pools and found them very relaxing. The reason for the average rating is due to the sulfur smell at the pool that stayed with you until you showered and washed you suits and towels. The springs in Ouray, Co. did not have this problem. But we will still come here next time we stop in this area.

Went here for the day...haven't been for 30 years. Don't even remember being here before but this place is not only beautiful, it is simply heaven. It wasn't too crowded and the pools felt so good. Remember to bring your quarters for the bubble chairs and then know you must put your quarter in before you get into the pool. Will bring my kids back this summer or fall. They would love it!

“Melt Away”

I always feel a lot better when i spend the day soaking my bones, but bring your towels as the ones you rent for $2.50 are pretty worn and small in size.

“hot springs”

it was hot spring, what more is there to say--it was big. It would be great to go with a family. It seemed as if a lot of locals went there.

“Nice to enjoy an outdoor pool in the spring”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

If were up to my seven year old, we would have done nothing but hang out at the pool. The water was a very comfortable temperature, and the pool and the grounds were very clean. Our pool admission was included with our hotel, so the price didn't phase me as much as if I was paying a daily entrance fee.

The hot pool was really crowded. It was weird, because the sides of the pool were lined with older men, and the couples in the pool were oblivious to those around them. They needed to take their activities back to their hotel rooms. Maybe the warm water just relaxed them a bit too much, but having my kid there watching middle aged couples making out was not really what I pictured for this little trip.

The ater slides were advertised as being open on the website, however they were not open, because apparently the outside temperature was a couple degrees to chilly.

Would like to return when they are working, but won't be making a special trip for it....
