Attraction details
Owner description: Located between Aspen and Vail, you'll find the World's Largest Hot Springs Pool. The Ute Indians called it Yampah, meaning "big medicine." Soothe your muscles after outdoor activities year round. The large pool is kept at a comfortable 90°- 93° F and the smaller therapy pool averages about 104° F. Additional amenities include a lodge, spa, athletic club, grill and shopping. Relieve muscle and joint pain, or just relax and feel the wonder of a soak in our hot springs. Soaking in hot, highly concentrated mineral water has many health benefits. Increasing body temperature helps the body naturally kill harmful germs and viruses, eliminate toxins, and increase blood flow. The absorbtion of essential minerals gives the body a natural boost. You will feel the difference within minutes of stepping in. Jump in the large pool, at over 400 feet long, and "cool down." Swim laps or practice your form on the diving board. Water slides, mini golf, and kiddie pool are available in the warmer months. Bring your own cooler and snacks, or stop by the poolside Grill to grab a bite.

“had a blast”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

We always try to visit once a year, but haven't been in about 2. The weather was awesome and so was the pool. My family had a blast.

“Excellent”

Great experience. We came at night and enjoyed the discount. The water was great, relaxing, and the people were a joy to speak with. This is a great attraction.

“Kids had a blast”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

We found it very relaxing and our kids LOVED the slides and diving board. We had only planned to spend one afternoon and came back again the following day.

“A great place after a hike.”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

If you are a hiker this is a great place to relax the muscles. Its not that expensive and make sure to take a towel or they charge you and plenty of water. You have to experience it!

“Any alternative?”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

It seems like with all the hot springs in these mountains that someone hasn't come up with something less "public pool" than this. Yes, you have to do it when in the the area, but really what is it? It is a salt-water tasting public pool - bodies everywhere and who knows where they are peeing?! Kids enjoy it, sure, but any more than any other public pool for half the price? At least we can say we spent several hours here, direly trying to get our exorbitant money's worth, so we don't have to return. The therapy pool chairs are cool, so maybe someone will find a hot spring in the area, just set up some of those chairs and just charge the coin operated chair fee.
