Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is temporarily closed while we upgrade from our original 2003 tram to a NEW high-efficiency tram that will include 44 detachable, six-passenger cabins. Trips up the mountain will soon average 7-8 minutes instead of the 12-13 minutes as in the past. Our grand re-opening will occur in mid-March 2019. Please come see us in the spring and ride the NEW tram! We are located in historic Glenwood Springs, Colorado and offer a unique mountain-top adventure that's fun for the whole family. Some rides are seasonal; a list of which attractions are open can be found on our website. Great for groups, family reunions and birthday parties. Your visit to the Glenwood Caverns promises a unique, mountain-top adventure and memories to last a lifetime. The wholesome fun of nature-based educational activities combined with attractions to please die-hard thrill seekers makes this the perfect place to spend a day with family and friends.

The views were amazing. It was super hot when we went and the gondola was an oven. Rides were just ok. Some were scary if you are not a fan of heights. For the money... A bit pricey. The food was ok in the restaurant but not good.

Day one of a two family vacation in Glenwood Springs and a great way to get started. We have high expectations of caves because we live near Kartchner Caverns, and the cave vastly exceeded our expectations. Riding the tram up was fun! Good food! Fun rides! Relaxing music gently in background. Very fun!

What a wonderful park for couples and families. My husband and I just went with his aunt and uncle. There was something to do for all of us!! We started the day by taking the tram to the top of the mountain which was really fun with spectacular views of Glenwood Springs. Once on top, we found sunscreen and lockers right away and made way to the rides. The rides were fun for all of us and the lines were not long at all (went on a Wednesday afternoon). Once it started to warm up, we went into the caves and were just as impressed and fascinated with the history of the caves. Our tour guide, Delphine (I think that was her name) was very knowledgeable and was more than happy to share everything she could. The food and drinks were more responsible than I assumed they would be. However, you can leave the park and reenter as needed. Be sure to try the swing ride, it was absolutely terrifying but fun at the same time.
My only "complaint" is that the sky started to darken up and lightening so the tram was shut down. We ended up waiting 30 minutes to get on a bus to go down. I know it was for our safety and I appreciate that but wish the rain would have held off so it wouldn't have taken so long.
Overall, great experience and the best part of my vacation!

Dear Megan C,

We're so happy that you, your husband and his aunt and uncle enjoyed the Adventure Park so much! It sounds like you had a busy day with all of the attractions and the cave tours, which is what we like to hear. The Giant Canyon Swing has always been one of our visitors' favorites, so we're glad you gave it a shot.

We're sorry the lightning interfered with your journey back down the mountain, but we're glad you still enjoyed your visit. Thanks so much for the great review, and we hope you can visit again soon!

My teen girls took this tour of the caverns as part of the adventure park experience. They loved the 52 degree temp. as we are from Houston, Tx and it was July and we always prefer cool over heat. They told me the guide was very informative, nice, kept the group together and was funny. They enjoyed the caverns. They took the regular walking tour for a little over an hour. They do have 2 more extreme caving trips by appointment, just so you know, but my teens took the regular tour.

There are several unique water formed formations. Unique bacon formations, 150 steps down in the upper cave means you need to be in shape to do it. There is a gondola or bus to the area. You can see the lower cave and rides from the river when rafting.

Dear airebornranger,

We're glad you enjoyed our cave tours so much! The King's Row Tour does include 127 stair steps and a 150-foot descent, but there are plenty of benches along the way for resting. Thanks so much for the great review, and we hope you can visit again soon!
