“Beautiful canyon for recreation”
Reviewed November 12, 2011

Rollerbladed along the path next to the river, great views, not crowded, clean rest stop near by and the path is well maintained and flat.

“Don't Miss This”
Reviewed November 5, 2011

Having the path linked to Interstate rest stops was great - bathrooms, water, interpretive sites along the way.
Shame on Colorado for not fixing the washout as soon as it occurred - closed half the trail most of the season.

“unfortunately partially closed”

Colorado needs to fix the bad spots. Canyon Bikes did a good job working around the closed section.

“Must Do in Glenwoods Springs”
Reviewed November 3, 2011

Great thing to do in Glenwood Springs, got a shuttle to the top of the gorge and rode the 16 odd miles back to Glenwood Springs. It was a gentle ride down with only one hill and a bit of a head wind.
Stopped to walk up to the beautiful Hanging Lake. 1.2 miles with a 1000 foot rise, was totally worth it.

“Best way to see the canyon!”
Reviewed October 24, 2011

My beloved and I are in our 50s so we took a shuttle to a rest stop and then road our bikes mainly downhill. It's an easy ride if you do it this way and you can stop anywhere along the route to enjoy the views, which are spectacular. The bike ride is great fun and not too busy if you go before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. There are rest stops every few miles with clean bathrooms and vending machines. Make sure to bring sun screen, snacks and lots of water with you. There are picnic tables along the way also so you can stop and enjoy lunch in one of the most spectacular settings on earth.
