We stopped at this tiny cafe for a quick breakfast while traveling. Best decision of the day. Our server, Helena, was pleasant with an infectious smile. Food was fantastic... Typical menu items, but anything but typical flavor and quality. We were served quickly and back on the road.

We ate at the Whistle Stop Cafe on our way to ride the Georgetown Loop Train. I had read reviews online and it's a good thing I did. I don't think we would have stopped if we were judging by the appearance of the building. As other reviewers have mentioned, don't let the appearance dissuade you. The food is excellent and the service is just as good. They serve breakfast all day, but also have lunch offerings. We arrived about 10:45 and decided to have breakfast. Our two grand kids wanted pancakes and the cafe has kid's versions of pancakes on the menu. They are shaped like Mickey/Mini Mouse and topped with strawberries and whipped cream. The pancakes filled the plate! I ordered French Toast and received 5 pieces along with a full banana cut into bite-sized pieces, strawberries, and whipped cream. They were great! My husband had a create-your-own omelette and home fries with a side order of the cafe's special green sauce. He said it was very good. The cafe is small and it's not fancy, but it's clean and the waitress was VERY friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our food and were glad for the recommendations from other Trip Advisor reviewers. We would highly recommend the Whistle Stop and would definitely go again

Don't be put off by the appearance of this little cafe from out front. Yes, it's kinda funky looking and quite small, but it was obvious the locals consider it a favorite.

It's kinda crowded inside, but the food is super. Waitress was really good. We really enjoyed this little place.

This place is really fantastic!
The New owner and her delicious green chile put this place on the map! Places come and go in this small town, but the owner really knows her stuff! She will survive here, the other breakfast places in Georgetown better watch out!!

It's a small café just off the highway and well worth the stop. The menu consisted of the traditional breakfast items. They even offered a "Mickey Mouse" pancake for the kiddos which our 4 year old daughter enjoyed. The service was very friendly and our food was delivered quickly.
