Fall colors, snow on mountain tops, little traffic, beautiful scenic drive. Wish there were more places to pull over and take photos.

If you like hikes on clearly marked trails above tree line, go here! The views are spectacular and you can't get lost.

Been up there many times. It never gets old. Highly recommend it around the end of Sept for all the color of the Aspens. Great views and many different types of ecosystems, all viewable from a car for those who aren't interested in hiking.

If you’re in the area, this is worthwhile. We drove up during autumn for fall color. It was just shy of peak, but a great drive. At the top there’s an ocean of willow bushes. In this area willows are bushes, not trees. We took the surprisingly short walk down to the lake. Others continued up the mountain. Part of the walk is on boardwalk over the marsh areas. After stopping at the top, you can drive on to the town of Grant, if you want to. We returned to Georgetown so we can’t advise you about Grant.
