“Good value and great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my recent stay at this property. The rooms have been recently renovated, and mine was very clean and comfortable, which is not something I expected to find in a mid-priced hotel. For me, the best part of the property was the location- right on I-70, so it was easy to find, across the street from a market, so I could grab some quick snacks, and only a very short distance from downtown Frisco. Also, I rode Copper Mountain on this trip and the Summit Stage shuttle stop as literally only steps from the front door. Perfect! Breakfast was continental, as expected, but in addition to coffee, they had a really nice selection of Tazo teas. I only had reason to speak with the staff on my check-in, and the associate that helped me was very helpful and knowledgable of the area. I will definitely stay at this property again- a real value!

Debbie, we are so happy to hear you had an enjoyable time here with us! As you noticed, we did just renovate all of our rooms here including new granite top furniture, wallpaper, carpeting, tv mounts, and desk chair. We’re glad you were here to see the updates! We’re also pleased to hear that you took advantage of the convenience of the summit stage buses that run through Summit County! They do make it easier going to and from the ski resorts right out our door. Can’t wait to see you on your next visit! And be sure to mention that you are a returning customer!

There's nothing like relaxing in the hot tub, during a snow. This place is clean, in an excellent location, the staff is friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is great, they even have cheese omelets if you're there early enough. They serve cookies on the weekends. We were there around Halloween, and the staff would give candy (nice candy bars, and skittles, not cheap suckers) to my children each time they would pass the front desk.
The other guests were quiet but friendly.
No complaints at all.
We got shocked every time we would touch the button for the elevator, by static electricity, but that's not something that can be avoided, or fixed by the staff. It was probably just the season and weather.
Beautiful views from the window seats in our room.
They were just beginning a full remodel when we stayed, but you could never guess it by staying there. Unless you're a construction worker who notices the containers and dumpster in the back of the parking lot. I asked the front desk, and they confirmed that they were remodeling, but being cautious to not disturb any guests. They did an excellent job of it.
I can't wait to go stay again, now that it's newly remodeled.
It was the least expensive of all the hotels in driving distance from there when we stayed. I hope it stays that way even after the remodel.

Room Tip: All the rooms have great view of the snow-capped mountains.

Overall the hotel was okay, but there was some problems. Once we entered the room there was a shower cap on the smoke detector and two different dirty socks under the bed. In the morning we went downstairs to get our breakfast. There was 30 minutes left until breakfast was over and many of the items were gone and not being restocked. We had to ask the front desk lady for sugar and forks. She directed us to look through the cupboards and find it ourselves. When we entered the dining area, all of the available tables were dirty and people had to clean them off themselves if they wanted to sit down. While waiting in line for breakfast, we had to wait behind someone working at the hotel to finish making their breakfast.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here in early January. The hotel is quaint and close to the interstate; which is nice.
Good Points: location, bathroom decor, flat screen w/ cable TV, granite desk, nice cabinetry and furnishings.
Bad Points: overall poor service, trash under the bed, the beds were uncomfortable and the coverlet appeared unwashed, and the walls are very thin.
I think I would only stay here again if it was the last available hotel room in Frisco. Since CO passed the weed law, buyer beware that you will see people smoking and smell it in the area, as we did. My final impression is that the owners want to keep the property nice (i.e. the bathroom decor, the flat screens, and the furniture) perhaps it is the staff that have no pride in their work.
