“Clean, Affordable, Everything I needed to take care of the family during a ski getaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

We visit Frisco 2-3 times during the ski season & chose to stay here based on the recent remodel. They did a great job on the remodel & the entire hotel has been freshly updated. Front desk staff was good, seemed knowledgeable, but not overly welcoming. (my feelings were not hurt, but first impressions are important.) The room we were given was on the 2nd floor, it was clean, beds were comfortable, no bugs, clean smelling sheets... just had to ask for a few extra pillows but no complaints on our nights sleep. The bathroom wasn't large, but had a clean tub, clean tile & hot water. The microwave & in room refrigerator were great for dinner in after a full days skiing. We also packed a popcorn maker & had everything we needed without venturing out into the night life with our girls. The pool was small, but clean, the hot tub had some floaties & could have been warmer.... Overall we would stay here again for the price & it has easy access to all the ski resorts. The summit stage drop off is within walking distance which would be good for out of state visitors. I agree with the other reviews that breakfast leaves you hungry, but since we packed fruit & protein shakes, we were ok.

Thank you for choosing Alpine Inn during your stay in Summit County. We are happy to hear you like the remodel. We now have a couple extra pillows in the room so this should help many guests. Our amenities which include a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, soap, lotion and shampoo are hopefully something that guests find as an added value. Thank you for bringing to our attention the floaties in the hot tub - we will keep a better eye on that. As far as temperature is concerned we are not able to have it warmer than 104 degrees. We will look into more protein ideas for the breakfast.
Again, thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your business and hope to see you in the future.

First off, Frisco is an excellent base for skiing - within easy distance of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper, Arapahoe Basin and Keystone as well as some smaller resorts. It also has excellent restaurants, shops, and bars.
As other reviewers have noted, the Alpine Inn has had a major facelift and renovation, completed in late-January 2013 leading to much improved communal areas and facilities, updated bathrooms and bedrooms throughout. There is a swimming pool, jacuzzi (essential after a hard day's skiing) and now a guest laundry, which was missing before and now a welcome addition.
This is a small, family-run hotel with a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast (continental style rather than cooked, but perfectly adequate in all essentials) is included in the very reasonable price charged.
I have been staying at the Alpine Inn since 2001 and would not consider staying anywhere else in Frisco or nearby and would not consider staying anywhere else but Frisco.

Room Tip: The room location hardly makes any difference. It's quiet. There are two floors, you can face th...

We've always stayed in downtown Brekenridge but finally thought out of the box and found this great oasis in Frisco. Easy to find, great town, not fantsy but very comfortable. This will be our go to place in the future. Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you for giving Alpine Inn a try. We truly appreciate your business and hope to see you in the future!
Frisco is a great location as it is central to all the ski resorts and has many wonderful restaurants. Alpine Inn is located right across the street from the Main Transfer Center which makes getting around the county easy as well.

I was disappointed in my last stay there as the hotel had really gone down hill. I wanted to see how the renovation went and I am impressed. They did one hell of a job and spent some money wisely. The whole hotel has been redone and it looks great. My compliments to the designer and the owner. For the price of the rooms try it.

We've been staying at the Alpine Inn for years, and it is no longer the same place. A complete top to bottom makeover has made this one of the nicest lodgings in the area. The same family owners/managers are in charge, but they closed the hotel in April of 2012 (I was among the last guests to check out) and changed everything except the location. It just reopened two weeks ago, and the new rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and modern. The pool and Jacuzzi also got a complete makeover, and if you've visited before, you won't recognize the lobby, reception, and dining area. We highly recommend the Alpine Inn for a comfortable, up to date lodging, close to the Frisco shuttle bus terminal, grocery store, and dining.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are a little quieter.

If all you want is an inexpensive place to stay while you ski Summit County resorts, the Alpine Inn is a solid choice. Stayed here for a couple nights in early March while a buddy and I skied Copper Mountain. Our room was sparse but clean. The shower had plenty of hot water. The hotel advertises a continental breakfast, but overlook this or you'll be disappointed. There's a shopping center around the corner where you can buy some fruit and a muffin. The hotel also offers an indoor pool and a small hot tub, but we didn't use these. Each morning, we were at Copper Mountain within 10 minutes of pulling out of the Alpine Inn parking lot. Manage your expectations and you'll have a nice stay at the Alpine Inn.

Room Tip: Renting skis? Drive just a couple of miles to Silverthorne and go to Virgin Island Ski Rentals. Thes...

Great place to stay for the price. Easy access to several ski areas, so it's perfect for crashing the night before/after skiing.
