The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were going to the Breckenridge resort to do some snowboarding, made the trip several times, very easy to get to, about 15 minutes. Everything seemed available to us, grocery stores, restaurants. Definitely enjoyed the free parking. The staff was nice and helpful. Overall, this was a good stay and would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here a few times on business and think it's a great place. The Pool and hot tub are great, the gym has good facilities. There is a good guest laundry and even a little games room for children.
The guest bedrooms are starting to look a little dated now compared to some other Holiday Inns, but they're certainly not passed their best just yet and are very clean
The hotel is a little way from the main street so not the best location if you want to be in the middle of the town. There is a regular free bus service that you can use to go into town with the nearest stop only 5mins walk from the hotel.
The bar food is just that -nothing special but then it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms facing the parking lot can get noisey in winter as some trucks parked there c...

Dear Ashby106 thank you for your 5 star rating and useful review on our hotel. We do offer full amenities at our hotel, which you have listed, for guests to enjoy when they are not skiing or out and about. We are glad you got to take advantage of some of these while staying here. Although not on Main Street, we are exactly 1.4 miles away and have accessibility via the free bus system as you mentioned. Our own bus stop is located right by our parking lot and another one is right across the street from it, in front of the KFC outside the hotel. Both only take about 1 minute to get to from the lobby. You are correct that there is also a bus stop about 5 minutes away. This is the Frisco Transfer Center, located behind the Safeway across the 4-way intersection from us. It takes between 5-10 minutes to walk to it, and allows passengers to board buses going to Breckenridge, Copper, Dillon, Silverthorne and Keystone. Our front desk staff is very knowledgeable of the Summit Stage bus route and can provide bus schedules and explain how to get anywhere in the county. We can't wait to see you up here on your next visit!

I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights, the rooms were nice but from there it went downhill fast. To start the parking lot was extremely dangerous with thick ice and refrozen snow all over the place, it was jarring just to drive through because it was so rough. Cars were parked anywhere they could find because you could not see the parking lot lines.
Now I understand that Frisco gets a good share of snow but this is totally unacceptable especially when almost all of the other businesses in Frisco are clear of snow and ice.
I have no idea why they cannot keep their parking lot clear like everyone else.

Room Tip: Avoid in the winter until Holiday Inn can better clear their parking lot

Dear valued guest, thank you for sharing your feedback with us about your recent stay at our hotel. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the parking lot during your stay. As a result of the recent severe winter storms, some of the parking lots and roads in the county have been in sub par condition. Once the status of our parking lot was brought to our attention, we hired front loaders to clear and maintain the lot. With the recent heavy snowfall, road maintenance has been a challenge for many businesses and properties locally; however please be reassured that our parking lots are safe and are being maintained. We are glad you enjoyed your room and do hope you come back to stay with us in the future. Your experience is of the greatest importance to us.

Overall I got what I paid for. I went through a third-party website and got a good deal, and I was just looking for a place to sleep. The front desk staffmember was very nice when I checked in, and the room was clean and quiet (overlooked the parking lot, but not much traffic due to snow and it being mid-week). The bed was very comfortable, and the TV was pretty new.

The restaurant was conveniently located, but the food was not very good. I had the beef fajitas, and the meat was more like a frozen Steak-Ums than real fajita meat.

The worst part was the morning I checked out (I stayed for only one night) there was no hot water. In January. In Summit County. This was pretty annoying, as was the tiny shower head, but it has popped up in a couple of other reviews, so I think this may be a common occurrence.

If I had to stay in Summit County or the ski areas again, I would shop around a bit. The staff and room were generally fine, but overall a ho-hu

We had tiny beds and my kids had to sleep on the gross floor. Our room with no window yes we had no window or any life outside our dungeon it was very creepy! (they said you have to pay extra for a room with a window) The swimming pool was nasty with bandaids and hair floating around in it, the hot tub was worse and we had to ask for towles. The sauna was broken too. When going back to our room they had dog poop on the floor in the halway and we were not on the pet floor. When I complained to the front desk they basicaly laughed and did not care. Very dissipointed and will never stay here again!!!!

I stayed there with my parents for a few days while we went skiing and the people serving us breakfast were very friendly and all that but they were basically useless. One day we waited almost an hour for our breakfast when we sort of wanted to go skiing... Although it was very nice and we had a very pleasant stay.

DH and I try to come to Frisco every other year or so for a relaxing weekend, and we always stay here. This year, the schedule allowed only a day, but it was still nice. The location is convenient with the Summit Stage stop just outside the parking lot, our room is always clean, staff is always friendly and helpful. Haven't tried the restaurant yet, as we are always drawn to other places in town or along the Summit Stage route. Looking forward to the next visit!

Dear hoosierhusker, thank you so much for your compliments of the Holiday Inn Summit County as well as the beautiful photo you shared on TripAdvisor. You are right, one of the great advantages of our hotel is its centralized location and close proximity to the Summit Stage (county free transportation system). We do have our own stop which allows guests to travel anywhere in the county for free. We encourage you to swing by the Sporting News Grill next time you stay even if it is just for an appetizer or to try one of our 14 beers on tap. The restaurant staff is very friendly and loves to interact and chat with the guests. We hope to see you up here again soon!
