Clean room, air conditioner was quirky until we figured It out. - Our king bed was ok, but we didn't feel it was up to the price point of the room. The attached restaurant was very good for dinner - great service and food.

Room Tip: Ask for upper floor rooms on south or east side for views of lake Dillon.

The hotel exterior and common areas are new and updated but the interior of the rooms is old and stinky. Definitely not of the Holiday Inn quality we are used to. The bathroom was small and need maintenance and the room with a view showed a sliver of a mountain with a nice view of the dumpsters. They also did not offer a breakfast.

Hello and thank you for your review of the Holiday Inn Summit County. Our guests have the option of choosing a breakfast rate, including the best-4-value breakfast or pancakes. This rate can be included in the regular price at a small additional cost. When guest are IHG Rewards Members, they gain the benefits of upgraded rooms when applicable. Our hotel offers rooms on the higher floors with larger views of the lake and the mountains for these guests. The room you had does face the lake and mountains. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will stay with us again as an IHG Rewards member!

This is my first review of a hotel, but felt compelled to help people out. The pool and hot tub, as in other reviews was very cloudy and dirty. Manager said they were shut down but there were no signs.Either way I still had 3 teenagers that wanted to swim or sit in the hot tub and couldn't do either one. I paid for a King room and ended up getting 2 doubles. The toilet was running when we first got in the room, and even when the maintenance guy left it was still running. To top it off, since I used my Holiday inn rewards card on 1 room and bought my other room off of Holiday Inn website, I didn't get the free breakfast vouchers. Management did not seem responsive to any complaints and didn't offer a refund so I could get a hotel with a working pool for my kids. We checked out the Best Western across the street and it had a working pool, free breakfast and was cheaper. Check the reviews before you pick your hotel, I saw the bad reviews on this hotel, but felt secure knowing it was a Holiday Inn, but with any business, management or lack thereof makes or breaks a hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night Pre Rocky Mountains en-route from Grand Junction. Got a price of $80 which I felt was great value! Lovely location next to a beautiful lake.
Odd staff members, upon check in there were 3 people in que and management and I think staff member/family member sitting on couch watching one gentlemen check people in. Then after one person complained they got up but instead of checking anyone in they helped a man who's batteries we t flat in his tv remote. Waited 20 mins to check in which is not what you want when you have been driving all day! Then the next morning at 6.30am there were no staff to check us out, the staff member who I assume was know duty was asleep on the couch so we had to leave our room keys on the counter.
Room was clean, free wifi, cold shower in the evening but was hot again next morning.
Would stay again but management/staff services veld need to be improved!

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. It is very important to us to provide 100% customer service and management. Our night-audit team members have specific duties to accomplish when working, such as checking the hotel grounds to ensure safety, accomplishing express check-outs and many others. This can bring out attendant away from the front desk at times. Our team members are very well versed on their duties and it is quite possible they were attending to these tasks and you noticed a guest on the couch. Thank you for your feedback regarding this incident, we have covered your comments with the team and the management staff. We do hope you will stay again.

My wife and I stayed for one night on the way home from a hiking trip. We stayed in a lake-facing king room on the 6th floor. The mountain view was spectacular, marred only by the smallish window. Why anybody would build in this location and then not exploit the view with a large window is a mystery to me.

The check-in process went smoothly. The room was "Holiday Inn Standard", meaning not outstanding or luxurious in any way, but comfortable and clean.

The hotel restaurant was rather limited - a sports bar. Would have preferred a more quiet, intimate dining setting. The steaks were mediocre, although the salads were very good.

We also made use of the convenient coin-op laundry.

Overall, a good experience.

Room Tip: Lake view 6th floor rooms have nice view, but marred by smallish window size.

Thank you very much for your great comments about our hotel! We are always pleased to hear guests had a wonderful stay and we always do encourage feedback to help us improve. Our sports bar is great for guests who love to see any game on any of our 16 flat screen televisions while relaxing after a long day of hiking or skiing with a cold beer from the 14 on tap. Main street Frisco does offer some wonderful dining as well. Thank you again for commenting.

Staff was nice. However our room smelled very musty...the AC only worked occasionally I had to get up in the middle of the night and reset it so it would come on. The TV stations were very fuzzy. The hot tub was broken. I'm not really seeing the "renovation" that was advertised on their website.. also while I was in my room I got to looking at my checking account and noticed where the guy at guest services charged my card $40 more than the rate that was promised at check in. So I went down stairs and called him on it. He told me it was for taxes.. I told him that $40 for taxes on $119 was outlandish. After more research he caught the "error" and fixed it.. not really sure if ill be back

Thank you for writing to us with your feedback about your recent stay. Our air conditioning units work on an E-save mode, saving power and energy to stay in tune with the "green" efforts of the town. When the temperature outside is less than the air conditioning temperature inside the room, the unit will automatically shut off and save energy. We are glad you were able to remedy the bill with our front desk team, as they work very hard to ensure all billing is correct and guests are taken care of. Thank you again for your comments.

Tv didn't work, changed rooms, then couldn't get regular channels, only cable, so couldn't watch the news. Went to the bar for a drink. No white zin, no Bacardi, bartender said he didn't have the keys to get into liquor cabinet. Just irritating.....poor management.
