“Front Desk Inflexiblity”

The front desk on Saturday Sept 22....was completly unhelpful. A friend and I stayed two nights prior to this. Everything was fine until we attempted to check out of one room and into two others. Check out time is 1100 and check in 1600. We were told we could not get an early check in because there was no way to have house keeping clean the King size rooms we reserved out of whatever order they were doing rooms. We were the only ones waiting for a room; a simple call to house keeping to clean two king rooms would have allowed us to continue our vacation. Instead we were forced to wait in the lobby and put our belongings in storage...the in ablity of the front desk to accomidate a very simple request spoiled what otherwise was a pleasurable experience. Won't be on the top of my list for places to stay in Frisco.

Room Tip: Dont come on the weekend when the desk staff has no supervision.

Thank you for your review about our hotel. Unfortunately, we had sold out of the room type the night before and were unable to check you into your room early the next morning. I have spoken with the person on duty that is in charge of housekeeping on the weekends to make sure they have their radio on and are in communication with the front desk for special requests. We try to accommodate special requests for early check in especially for guests that have stayed with us the night previous so the change of room is a quick and easy check in. The room was neat and clean. No sign of bedbugs in the room we stayed, despite of what the other person wrote in his/her review. Bedding was clean and comfortable. We checked the bed/mattress all the way around and did NOT see anything. We experienced NO bites either.
Bathroom was also clean.
Also NO smoke smell as someone in here mentioned.
Staff was very nice. Breakfast was also good considering it's free. Coffee, tea, juice, hot cocoa, milk, yogurt, cereal, bagel, white & wheat bread, muffins, danishes, hot waffles (make your own), hot scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cold boiled eggs, fresh fruit, etc…….something for everyone !
If you need a refrigerator/microwave you need to book a suite, since regular rooms do not have them.
I consider this place worth staying in without hesitation. It's a great value.

I stayed at the Lake Dillon Lodge and unfortunately had a horrible experience with bed bugs. The night person in charge at the time was very helpful and moved me to another room. I just hope the hotel takes the problem seriously and thoroughly treats the entire hotel. Up until I discoverd the problem, the room was fine.

Unfortunately sometimes other guests will bring in bed bugs with their luggage or from other locations. When there is an issue with bed bugs we immediately take the room off market for at least two weeks, wash all the bedding, and spray to make sure that all the bed bugs are out of the room. Other rooms around that room are also checked to make sure they have not been affected. Our housekeeping and maintenance staff are trained on how to handle rooms that have the bed bugs in them. We are very sorry that the room you had occupied had some bed bugs in them. This is not a situation that happens very often; however, we are very proactive in checking the rooms. The room had plenty of space to get around in my wheelchair. The only problems were a partial wall next to the bed that made it a little tricky getting close enough to transfer into bed, and the sink has a front piece that comes down too low for my knees to fit under. There's a bathtub which is right next to the toilet. Fortunately I didn't need to use it, otherwise it would have been difficult to get to. The hallway we were down was very quiet. I thought we might have had car noise since it's next to the highway exit, but I didn't notice any outside noises. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and offered a discount because of my complaints.

Really nice lodge area to gather in. Adequate, hot breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the beds are inviting and comfortable. Good value! In reading other reviews of this hotel there is mention of smoke smell. I did not experience this at all. Front desk staff was very nice.

We booked our room thru hotels.com 800 number after flying in late to Denver. Our family of 6 needed 3 beds minimum. Originally was looking for comfort suites in Dillon but it was booked so customer service Rep suggested this hotel with 4.8 stars and room with 3 queen beds. I specifically asked "That's 3 actual beds and no fold-out couches correct?" She assured me it was so. Sounded good so we booked it. When we arrived at midnight the desk associate said there were no rooms of this type available and the room under our name had 2 queens and twin fold out. No other rooms available. He offered a cot. He tried to be accommodating and I don't know who was to blame for the blunder. We made do. The room was ok for 4 people. Very poor for 6. With cot and foldout there was no room to walk without climbing over each other's beds. Cot was terrible so we put our lightest weight kid on it and even he complained in the morning. The foldout may have been worse. Our next youngest kid complained of mustiness. We skipped out of complimentary breakfast in am in favor of a local breakfast joint (good choice). Driving away and looking at exterior of hotel confirmed that we would never have chosen this place had we seen it in the daylight.

This hotel is just way past its prime, with dingy slightly stinky hallways and everything looking like it's had a long, hard life. We had to switch rooms because, despite supposedly being a non-smoking hotel, the first room reeked of smoke (as did the hallway). Beds are halfway decent, rooms are tolerable, although also well used. Breakfast was just like the hotel - an overrun room with beat up chairs that smelled of chlorine from the nearby pool, with about half the items - including coffee! - empty and only refilled by a slow, grumpy helper when pressed for more. Worst place I've ever stayed? Probably not - but definitely a place I won't be staying at again.
