We are visiting from Scotland for a couple of weeks and after a great days' skiing in Breckenridge we were all ready for our evening meal having booked Tuscato the evening before. The person who greeted us was genuinely welcoming (the owner?) as was our waiter. Some of the group had appetisers which were good. Sadly, the main meals were a complete mixed bag of quality. The sausage dish was very good as was the chicken with lemon. The steak (last one available @ 7:30pm?) was not good, the spaghetti with tomato sauce was not at all tasty (all italian food should at least be tasty), and the beef lasagne was just plain terrible (and couldn't be eaten). Without asking, the waiter apologised for the quality of the lasagne and did not charge us; he also removed the 18% standard service charge for our party size. Whilst this was a good recovery tactic sadly, it won't encourage us to return. My suggestion / message to the owner would be, perhaps reconsider the authenticity of your restaurant and demand your chef gets back to basics in cooking classic italian dishes.
