“Great Happy Hour Choices and Prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

We stopped in after skiing for appetizers/drinks. They have a very nice, small happy hour menu. This had smaller versions of the regular appetizers at half the price. We tried the pork taco (very good), hummus (bland), baked goat cheese with salsa (good), ahi tuno taco (very good), and the beef tips with balsamic onions and mushrooms (excellent). The beef tips were so good we ordered 2 more, plus an additional pork taco. The tips came with 3 nice size pieces of filet and 1/3 cup or so of delicious grilled onions/mushrooms. The hummus had vegetables and pita - we added hot sauce and it was better. The goat cheese was 3 crispy crackers, a blob or baked cheese and a fresh salsa.

There were good prices on the drinks and beer, also. All in all, it was a good way to have a light meal or heavy appetizer for a pretty reasonable price.

“$10 for a glass of wine...”

Seriously? It's spring break and I get the fact that you increase your prices for tourists but I am a 20 year local and probably won't go back anymore.

“Winners All Around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this cozy restaurant. The service was outstanding as was the food. We especially enjoyed the creative menu items and the food didn't disappoint. Example: a lamb and potato pierogi appetizer with a mint and cilantro sauce. Yum! Another winner: the chicken pot pie - deconstructed. The chicken was tender, the pastry fluffy, the veggies so fresh and overall delicious. My son loved this. Also fantastic was the seared ahi tuna with black and white sesame seed crust, and a drizzle of wasabi mayonnaise and a second drizzle of teriyaki. I ordered a cheeseburger with terrific sweet potato fries. Very good. Even the puffy rolls were delicious. The only disappointment was a curry chicken soup. While creamy and fresh honestly it was a little bland. However everything else including the waitress made this an excellent dining experience. If you like, arrive a little early and sit at the small but inviting bar for a cocktail ahead of time.

“Best Fish & Chips in Summit County”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2014

Thursday is Fish & Chip special night at the 5th Avenue Grill. Great Pacific Cod , deep fried perfectly with fries and tasty cole slaw. This bistro has a nice ,large dInner menu in the intimate dining room ,but the nightly specials and happy hour apply to the very lively bar.

This is a locals place with many après skiers, and Frisco folks. The mussels with a variety of sauces are always tasty served with garlic toast, and the seared ahi are both our favorites ,as well as the martini specials at happy hour?

Great service and consistently great food ...but we go for the Fish & Chips !

“Excellent service average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

Vegetables with the trout were pretty raw. Soup was too spicy for my taste. We felt it was pretty expensive for what we got. The bread was excellent. The service was excellent.
