“Mai Tias and Coconut shrimp”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

Don't ask questions, just order a Mai Tia and the Coconut shrimp. Beautiful view, friend atmosphere and don't forget to bring the dog!

“Breathtaking views”
Reviewed June 4, 2012

The Island Grill has breathtaking views over the lake and towards Keystone. They have table seating as well as a relaxed picnic bench deck. The food is average, don't go there is you're looking for high quality food (although you will pay high quality prices). I had the battered cod sandwich with asian slaw; bun was very dry as if it had freezer bun. Tartar sauce was obviously out of a jar and the slaw was watery and needed some seasoning. This is dog friendly so your 4 legged friend can join you on the deck. Staff are bubbly and friendly. Great place to while away the sunny afternoons in Frisco, just eat elsewhere!

“Not for families”
Reviewed September 5, 2011

I was disappointed before even getting to the restaurant. A man had decided to urinate behind a trash dumpster near the restaurant. He then joind the crowd when done. He failed to recognize that there were closer restrooms just around the corner from where he was. I got the impression that this is a place where 40 year olds go that seem to be stuck in a college years mindset. There was a lot of drinking, and a college party atmosphere. I was hoping for less of a party crowd. The food is good, but nothing too great.

“Cool outdoor patio lake front tiki bar kind of atmosphere”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

Nice place to have a beer and burger and be outside. They have an outside bar and tables in shade or sun. Best scenery in town. You can see the sailboats and lake-- sort of. Whoever designed this place didn't know what they were doing. They should have had indoor seating so they could operate year round. With the views they would have made a killing. The place sits on a right angle to Beautiful Lake Dillon and mostly you have a view of the parking lot. It would have been easy to have seating overlooking the lake but it is minimal.
The owner is a really nice guy and also owns Tuscato's on Main St. myself and other locals favorite restaurant. He had minimal to do with the design and most likely was up to a local bureaucrat since it is town owned. Geat for lunch and Happy hoour.
