“Small rooms with mediocre service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

This place is WAY overrated. Small rooms, minimal front desk service and no breakfast included; just coffee with no creamer or sugar. (at least during our stay.) The location is great, but other than that,
this hotel offers very little for a big price for night.

Our experience has been great. We got the larger room #100 and everything was just right here. Coffee, teas, oatmeal. They have a wine area at night, small self service store, super cozy lobby with giant fireplace. Staff was helpful and kind. Room includes a jacuzzi and walk in closet and a terrific bed and flat screen.

We stayed a couple nights and were really pleased with the hotel's lodge feeling, being centered downtown near ski rentals and a bar.

We stayed here for one night (Thank goodness it was only one!) with a Living Social voucher. Our room, # 300, was literally the smallest I've ever seen and I've traveled the world and stayed in some small rooms. The queen bed had a foot of space on each side of it. We had to stack our bags on the floor because there was nowhere to put them. The other major issue was the temperature of the room. It was blazing hot and we were told there was no way to turn the thermostat down. Thankfully, we had one window which we kept wide open our entire stay, even though it was 10 degrees outside. Otherwise, we would have broiled. Had we paid the standard rate of $199 for that room, I would have been irate, demanded a refund and gone elsewhere. We have one more Living Social voucher to use so are giving this place a second chance next week. The owners promised us a larger room, so we'll see. Will post another review after that stay.
Positives: Though the room was tiny, I do have to say the owners had done a great job with decor and it was spotless clean. The location is great, many restaurants within steps and major ski areas within a 20 minute drive.

Room Tip: Don't get room # 300 unless you're a single !

Just returned from spending Presidents Day weekend at the charming Hotel Frisco. What a treasure of a find! The owners Pat and Rodger are exceedingly friendly and helpful. The hotel has excellent rates and is much better than staying at a chain. There is a nice bar area, lobby and reading/sitting rooms to hang out in so it feels more like a B&B than a hotel. Location is AWESOME as you can walk to get coffee, dinner, drinks or shopping. It is a wonderful place and I could tell people loved it as people continually came in looking for rooms but they were booked. Also takes pets! COmfortable beds and remodeled rooms, plus nice outdoor hot tub.

Room Tip: May want room that doesn't have adjoining door as ours did and it was a little noisy. I just use...

We stayed here for a ski trip at breckenridge...the other reviewers gave it 4 stars, so we thought it might be a place worth checking out.....it is definitely not a cheap place at $149 per night...the rooms are really small and the bed extremely uncomfortable....we booked a room with a queen bed and the bed size was uh smaller than a queen, it was a full at best....and then the walls...they are so thin, there is absolutely no sound proofing...if someone talks on the floor below, or room next door, or couple of rooms down the hall you hear them as clearly as if they are in your room....we could not sleep bcos someone was taking till late in the night outside our room and it almost felt like the conversation as taking place in our room, we could hear them debating about their house choice and prices...every word, not even kidding....

And the worst part was the service...our toilet got clogged after a single use, We informed the front desk about this when we left in the morning, and when we got back in the night after a long day of skiing we see that it hasn't been fixed..the bed was tidied up but the toilet still clogged...that just shows that cleaning the bathrooms is simply not part of the room cleaning process at this place...and not sure why this is called a hotel, it is a small lodge with a handful of rooms, and service is definitely not at par with what a hotel should be....

Anyway I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone....we couldn't get out if there fast enough.....

After finding this great hotel, right on Main Street Frisco, it has become our home away from home for ski weekends. Extra bonus, they allow well behaved dogs! We stay with our two kids and our black lab in the one bedroom condo on the second floor. It's a beautiful one bedroom with a complete gourmet kitchen, living room with a gas fireplace and fold out couch, beautiful bathroom, and much more. We love staying here!

My family stayed 1 night in this hotel over Christmas brake. When we went to bed we discovered the sheets were dirty, there were sand and someone hair. It was disgusting, maid just fix the bed and didn't change sheets. May be that their policy for people staying just for one night. We called and asked for clean ones and they bring us just sheets not the pillow cases. In the morning I discovered that bad top also was full of hair. Stay away from this filthy place.
