“Worth the (relatively low) cost”
Reviewed February 18, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

This was a fairly inexpensive condo we found in Frisco that had a bed combination that was practical for a group of three adults and 4 kids. The place is way far on the south side of Frisco, so plan to drive places and/or get your walking boots on. It's probably too far from the bus stop to walk in ski boots, in case you were wanting to take the bus up to Copper.

The interior is dated, and needs some love: it's an authentic 70s layout with 70s/80s finishes. The microwave handle is broken off, and once we figured out how to open it, we still couldn't get the microwave to work at all. The blinds that should've opened to show us a mountain view to the southwest didn't want to open, and even with some coddling only opened about halfway. The place was drafty (it was very windy out this past weekend), and sometimes the air handler kept blowing cool air after the furnace shut off. Bathrooms are carpeted, and have 7 foot ceilings, except the upstairs bathroom (with the kids bunkbeds) which has a ceiling that ranges from 7 feet to about 4 or 5. The kitchen is pretty under equipped: if you actually intend to cook and are driving, bring a decent knife or two and a cutting board. And a big skillet, if you're going to need it: the handle is frighteningly loose on the one that's there.

That said, Bighorn rentals were fine to deal with, and the place is less expensive then comparable (more updated) rentals in Frisco. We managed just fine (it's a serious first world problem when you have to heat up the chocolate sauce for your ice cream in a pot of water, instead of using the microwave), and since we were there for skiing, eating in, and watching the Olympics, we had what we needed. Effective Wifi was a big plus, as we were traveling with teenagers.
