Wonderful stay in the main lodge. The staff was super accommodating and polite tending to our 1 year old son's needs. The room was clean and quiet, a Hot Tub right out our back door and the breakfast was amazing! You can walk 100ards and access excellent XC ski trails too! We will defiantly return.

My wife and I and my daughter and our future son-in-law stayed at the Wild Horse Inn Thursday and Friday March 28th & 29th. This was our second visit to this beautiful bed and breakfast and Chris and John again delivered a wonderful experience. The accommodations were excellent as was the breakfast. My wife and I have stayed at many B&Bs and this is one of our favorites.

We skied Thursday and hiked and biked Friday. It was Spring weather which allowed a variety of activities.

Simple elegance abounds at this high-country getaway in Fraser, Colorado. We were gifted our stay and booked one of the cabins for two nights during Spring Break. Advance communication was excellent, from making our res to the follow-up emails that included driving directions. Far enough off the main road to be remote, yet easily accessible to local attractions, Wild Horse is well worth a try. Greeted at the main house by Judy, our tour included the comfortable surroundings, and the free cookies, wine, and beverages. Saddle Blanket cabin, just a few steps from the main house and hot tub, was spacious enough for the two of us, yet oh so cozy. Well appointed, we relaxed in front of the fire (gas-fueled replica of a wood stove), lounging in the robes they supplied, and using the free wi-fi. We ordered a breakfast tray both days to further enjoy our private accommodations, and the meals were superb. Savory one day - hand-made omelets with ham and hard cheese, plus a baked delight, pineapple, and OJ - and sweet the next - extra-special waffles with warm syrup, bacon, fruit and OJ - prepared with care by innkeeper John. For play during the day we went to both Winter Park/Mary Jane for alpine skiing, and the nearby Devil's Thumb Ranch for nordic fun. (While at DTR, check out the happy hour food and drink specials in their replica of Mt. Hood's historic Timberline Lodge.)

Room Tip: The variety of rooms will help you choose what you need. All are excellent!

We stayed at this inn over New Years Eve with my daughter and her husband. The couple who own and run the inn are wonderful. Either the husband or wife prepares a delicious breakfast each morning. There are bottles of wine and soda available every night. There is no tv, but they have a variety of DVDs you can watch, lots of books and games; and a wonderful fireplace where you can lounge around. Each room has a small fireplace. You can use the kitchen to make your own food and store items in the refrigerator. The great thing is that there is cross country skiing/ snowshoeing right outside the door; and it is located near great trails. We borrowed their snowshoes for the day. Devils Thumb Lodge is very close, and the lodge serves delicious food. We would definitely return to the inn any season.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great.

We stayed at the Wild Horse Inn for 4 nights in December of 2007, so this review is long long long overdue! We stayed in the Meadowcreek Cabin and it was so lovely and cozy! The bed was super comfy and the whirlpool tub was nice to have since we were snowboarding - very nice to be able to come back and relax and take a nice hot bath. The owners are so incredibly nice, and the breakfast was to die for every day!

We did a package where we got a massage for each of us and they were very good after a couple long days of snowboarding. Everything here was so awesome, from the coffee to the service to the cabins themselves. Barely ever saw or noticed other guests, aside from seeing their cars outside. It was nice to go to the main lodge and eat breakfast with them though.

I would highly recommend this place to any and everyone, and I know one day we will come back!

We stayed in one of the dog friendly cabins for 2 days - only wish we had more time to spend at the Wild Horse Inn. (our dogs agree!). Had a fabulous time snowshoeing during the day, and just hanging out in the warm, cozy cabin. Hope to spend some time there during the summer. Thanks for this welcoming place, great breakfast friendly hosts and a much needed getaway. And OH! the wonderful comfy bed!!!

I stayed at the Wild Horse Inn for a wedding this past weekend. It was a whirl-wind weekend so I was not able to take full advantage of everything the Inn had to offer, but it seemed like it was the perfect place for a Colorado getaway, whatever the weather. I'm hoping this review will remind me to go back someday soon!!
