We just enjoyed a one night, mid week stay recently and had a fabulous experience! The staff was nice, the room was very cute and clean, the location was perfect for walking around downtown. They had good, free parking. The renovated rooms were very cute. I had read some of the reviews about the noise level from below so I booked us on the 3rd floor.....no noise to speak of!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this 'boutique' hotel right in the middle of the action in
Fort Collins. Within easy walking one finds good food, coffee, and spectacular people watching.

The staff is very friendly and eager to help with anything. There are free bicycles (cruisers) to ride, and the room we stayed in was clean, newly furnished, and just pleasant to be in. Oh by the way, there is free parking close to the hotel.

The coffee shop adjacent to the hotel is so handy that we did not have to use the coffee machine provide in the room.

This hotel was a little more expensive than we usually pay but it was well worth it especially considering the free bicycles which we enjoyed so much. We will be back.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are quiet as the traffic settles down outside after about 8.

We asked our son in Fort Collins to book us a room and this is the hotel he chose. It's right in the middle of Old Town so there is a weekend worth of shopping and many excellent restaurants easily within walking distance. The room is small but includes a refrigerator and wonderful linens. The price is higher than many of the chain hotels in the area, but we've stayed at several of them and they aren't nearly as nice or convenient. This is a smaller hotel, though, so be sure to book early, especially on busy weekends.

We stayed in room 321, a modern king with an "inside atrium" window. (Not really an atrium, more like a center collum of windows, so don't get too excited about the atruim, get excited about the QUIET !!!) We parked our car in the lot behind the hotel and walked or rode the FREE Bikes. Ft Collins is very bike friendly. We biked to a bunch of Breweries for tours & tastings !!!! The Armstrong is Historical, right in the middle of Ft Collings & moderatley priced!!! We could walked to shopping, food, music !!! The staff was very friendly and great with recommendations of every kiind !!!

Room Tip: We got FREE Beniets at Lucille"s when we said we were staying at the Armstrong

Great renovated, smallish hotel. Rooms were just right - not luxurious, but very nice with everything you need and a great bed with wonderful bedding...and reasonably priced at ~$130-150. (I've stayed at many Four Seasons, etc. and enjoyed this little place just as much, though it's obviously different.) Everyone who worked there was as friendly and helpful as could be. Plan a weekend here - you won't be disappointed. Hotel will lend you a cruiser bike to ride to the six microbreweries within a couple miles or you can rent a mountain bike down the street for great riding in the nearby parks. Downstairs restaurant/bar - Ace Gillett's - is a very good adult place - live jazz nightly - among all the college bars nearby. Can't wait to return.

If you want to be in the center of town, this is the place for you. This older hotel has been nicely restored. Each room is furnished differently, so check out their website to pick the room that suits you best.
I have stayed here twice and have found the staff helpful and friendly. The hotel has a cute cat that hangs out in the lobby--a nice touch for guests who have left their pets at home.
The hotel provides cruiser bikes for guests. There is a bike path within a short distance of the hotel and many of the streets have nice bike lanes. It's a great way to explore the city.

Wonderful stay. We had the back corner room. Open windows; albeit, noisy trains. Would definitely go back
