“HIdden valley”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

Anywhere else this would be a top attraction, but I hadn't heard of it on previous visits to Colorado. We spent a morning driving eastward on the road thru the canyon and enjoyed the view at every turn. At the highest point there is a trail along the MIchigan ditch which is easy to follow and not steep and goes back into the forest - an easy walk despite the altitude. A fire in 2012 burned much of the eastern edge and rain brings mud across the road but it is recovering.

“Beautiful river recovering well from 2012 fire”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

The river canyon is beautiful and is coming back from the High Park fire of 2012. The water is still rather dark through town (Fort Collins) but up the canyon it gets pretty clear. Our fishing guide called it "iced tea" color which made sense.

“Great shady, river trail”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

This trail winds along the river and it is smooth and mostly flat. Enjoyed being by the river, as it was 90 degrees. Several spots with benches, one drinking fountain, one air hose for topping off the tires.
We will definitely be back with our bikes again!

“Burnt but still a great spot.”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Picturesque canyon with good fishing, kayaking and rafting, and oh yea convenient camping. Picnicing is always special there. Narrow widing canyon has both shade and sun throughout the seasons. Wildlife changes with the seasons too. Great photograghic oportunities anytime of the year. Close to Fort Collins and a great way to get to Steamboat if you have the time. Don't forget to stop at Mishawaka for some food , a cold one, or if the you have the time a unique music experience.

I love rafting here every summer, and the outdoor concerts at the Mishawaka are wonderful! Beautiful drive up to Cameron Pass.
