The Poudre is such a great part of this town. We love walking or cycling on the trail (usually starting near Lee Martinez Park). Great to stroll along, or take a nice swim (it's usually a little brisk, but awesome on a hot summer day). Alive with smiling people, yet still quiet enough it feels like you can get away. (Granted, if you go up out of town along the river, you'll definitely get some peace and quiet). Both in town and up in the mountains, it's one of my favorite things about this city. A must see.

I love the Poudre. I spend more time there than anywhere else. You got the river. You got the hikes. You got the river. You got the Mish. You got the river....

Highway 14 west of Fort Collins Colorado runs through a canyon where the Cache La Poudre River flows that is simply an outstanding trip. I have visited this place many times over the years and have enjoyed every trip tremendously and recommend it to anyone and everyone. If you're on a motorcycle like I usually am you'll enjoy it even more because you can see more of the scenery. You can camp along the river, fish the river, or just relax and listen to the flow and watch rafters as they enjoy themselves riding the rapids.

A beautiful drive. Interesting to see how the fires of this summer hopped and skipped from the ridges. Such a wide variation in the amount of fire damage. Have a great appreciation for the folks that live there and those that were involved in fighting the fires!

This is one of the most beautifull rivers in the west. Fun to fish and great places to picnic. The pass is a beautiful drive.
