“Great food, even better value at lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

There are not many places you go and find 2 BBQ places with 50 ft of each other, it seems in this case competition has raised the bar on food. We had a large group for lunch. There are two booths that you can get, but you probably need to book. The buffet is exceptional value, and the food is great. Only real disappointment is the buffet has no ribs ... it seems a crime to come to a BBQ house and not have ribs. However, the meal of the day was the sliders ... 4 choices of meats or you can have 4 sliders with a different meat each.

They do a taster with ribs and another meat. It is a couple of bucks more than the buffet but worth every penny as you are not going hungry of want a second plate.

Just remember to order their home made baked beans ....

“Great BBQ in Fort Collins”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

Great new location in downtown Fort Collins. Great BBQ and even better side items like the mac and cheese, and pasta slaw. Good local beers on tap. Very nice building with plenty of seating.

“Fantastic food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

Nordy's has yet to disappoint. Every time my family tries something new, we find a new favorite. The ribs are ridiculously good, but we also really enjoy the pulled pork and roasted chicken. ALL of the sides are super yummy, but my favorites are the fried green beans, pasta slaw, and mac n cheese. Service is always stellar.

“Surprised and more than satisfied”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

We circled all of downtown Fort Collins on a Sunday afternoon before selecting Nordy's. We just happened to be in the mood for 'Q and liked the look of the menu—simple and focused on the basics. It's a great-looking place, but a bit slick and overly themed, so our expectations were for strictly tourist-grade food. I'd say the sides fall into that category but the mains are more than legit. The pork ribs are Memphis style when ordered naked (lacking in the cumin profile, but perfectly cooked to tender, but strong texture, as opposed to the pre-chewed mush you often get at at chain BBQ places). These ribs are real deal, delicious, and easy to eat. The variety of regional side sauces on the table leaves the flavor enhancement in your hands.

The cornmeal-breaded catfish was also great, the chicken wings a nice happy hour deal, and the homemade BBQ chips a fun surprise. Sides of sweet potato tots and fried okra came out of a frozen bag, but were passable, and the mac and cheese, although enhanced with processed cheese, was just fine in this setting (and took on BBQ sauce just fine). Waffle fries aren't a BBQ place staple, but the ones at Nordy's have a lightly breaded aspect and are perfectly crispy. A full bar and some great beer selections add to the mix of the concept, and it was all a decent value served by an eager and professional staff. It's not all hand-crafted here, but everything on our table was made with care and a high degree of quality.

I'd go back and take people along on my next trip to Nordy's.

“Birthday dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

My cousin had a coupon deal so brought me here for a birthday dinner. We brought the whole family, 4 kids 16-7 yoa, and 3 adults. Very good BBQ, brisket and sides. There was a slight problem with part of the meal the manager took care of that immediately, which was really appreciated. Loved my birthday drink also. Would certainly go back. Really love the Old Towne area in general.
