“Not for the quick eaters”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

Only open for breakfast and brunch and it is packed! Huge portion sizes that could easily feed three people separately. The food has been excellent every time I have gone there and for someone like me who prefers lunch food to breakfast food, it is great to have options. Only issue is that it takes a long time to do anything there, order, get your food, pay for your bill, etc. Food makes it worth it but don't come here when you are on a time crunch.

“Great From Scratch Cooking”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

I have only been here for breakfast - but excellent bread, preserves, eggs, cottage cheese and I enjoyed the pesto topped sliced tomatoes as an original side. Great coffee and flavored coffee creamers are a bonus. I drove here from Loveland where I was working for the summer just to enjoy their breakfast. Restaurant is nice and bright.

Just a homey place with great breakfast options. Omelets are brimming with good things, burgers are amazing. Wait staff is friendly and prompt. Great for friends to gather and have a good meal and a great cup of coffee.

“A local's recommendation”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Doug's Day Diner is just that - breakfast and lunch. Certainly not a pretentious ambiance but a nicely kept shopping center type location. Save your ambiance needs for dinner in downtown Fort Collins and find Doug's.

Generous portions of wholesome, American style breakfast - all made from scratch in-house. Ranked as one of the best places in The Fort for bacon, they certainly live up to it. I recently had the bacon burrito with waitress-recommended half and half red and green chili. You betcha!

Pretty sure you won't be disappointed at Doug's.

“A place with REAL food!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We were a party of 6 and got there around 1:30pm (they close at 2:00ish). We waited about 10 minutes for a seat and was greeted by a sweet lady who brought us coffee. The menu was anything from burgers to breakfast burritos to eggs. The bacon was REAL, the eggs were REAL, the biscuits were unbelievable! You definitely need a big appetite or a friend to share with because the portions are way too big for one person.

We enjoyed our experience so much that we went the following weekend. We wanted to sit outside and they brought us to the back patio area (where a few restaurants share the spot). Prompt, friendly service and hot food. We are definitely hooked! We brought our kiddos and walked over to the library afterwards. Great location with Target, Toys R Us, Sephora, The Children's Place all within walking distance.
