I was in town for some meetings at CSU. My friends stayed downtown at the Hilton but I chose to stay right off the highway - much less expensive (almost half the price). If you have a car, it's a short drive to downtown and campus and the roads are wide and multi-lane.
This was better than a budget hotel but not exactly the lap of luxury. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Not many channels on the TV. Breakfast was adequate but if you want to eat something fresh or healthy, you'll need to go elsewhere.
The lobby had a strong odor of floral/fruity chemical cleaning solutions. That always makes me wonder if the place would smell nasty without covering it up?
I thought it was an excellent value and definitely worth considering if you're mainly interested in sleeping in quiet, pleasant hotel. The bonus is that it's right off the exit ramp so you don't have to search for it in town - careful of the left-hand turn to get to the service road and into the hotel parking lot.More
