We usually get our sushi fix at Nimo's when visiting FOCO, but decided to try the East Moon one recent Saturday night. I love Nimo's but hate to stand in the door waiting for a table in their tiny establishment. East Moon on the other hand is huge; lots of tables available when we went around 630 PM. I really liked the varied Asian menu, and could pick from Japanese soup, appetizers, sushi, and Thai all in the same meal. The dedicated sushi eaters in our group said that they would still give Nimo's a slight edge on specific items. We had an excellent, attentive server who really knew the menu. I was especially impressed that two different “manager types” stopped by the table at different times to see how we were doing. I didn’t hear any complaints about the food, and there was a fair amount of take-home for the next day.
I am sure we will still visit Nimo’s but you can count on me occasionally campaigning for East Moon.
