Been here a few times and the food has always been good. Hike in the nearby mountains quite a bit and this place is one of the better places to eat on Fairplay.

Stopped for lunch. Pulled pork and brisket. Pulled pork sauce heavy on vinegar. Coleslaw hot, too. Mostly, it was over-priced. Won't stop again.

This was a surprising treat on the way to Telluride, so good in fact that we stopped again on our way back. We tried the brisket, ribs, pulled pork and the sausage. The sausage is my new all time favorite. Not fatty and full of flavor! The homemade BBQ sauce goes great with everything however I could not talk the owner into giving me the recipe! :>)

My daughter's favorite was the ribs and my husband's was the pulled pork so it is pretty safe to say that the food is good here. For those people complaining about the cost, have you bought any meat at the grocery store lately?? Ground meat is over $5/LB so the prices at this place are right in line with where they should be and they do the cooking for you! We paid $30 for sandwiches in Telluride. I would have much rather had some more of this BBQ.

Do yourself a favor and stop here when you are near Fairplay. Oh, they do accept credit cards now for those grumbling that they only take cash.

This place is fantastic. As others have said, the family is very kind and accommodating. And the food is outstanding. Our favorite were the ribs, and we are usually hard to please when it comes to ribs. The brisket and split chicken are also excellent, and you must try the cherry cobbler with cinnamon ice cream. To die for! We would eat here every day if it weren't 90 miles from home. Truly a gem in the town of Fairplay.

Stopped here on the way to Mt Princeton Hot Springs, funky little place with great food. Had pulled pork, cole slaw and beans all were delicious. Will definitely stop here again on our next trip.
